You have to respect Jade Quon, the actress made up like the alien. She kept in character the entire time and it couldn’t have been comfortable in the makeup and prosthetics while walking around NYC in the summer heat. Also a lot of respect to the makeup artists. Fun fact! Those "scary spiders" Are actually not spiders, but an arachnid called "Opiliones". sometimes colloquially referred to as "daddy long legs". The aliens will most likely be completely different from us. I mean so different, that we will have problem fully understanding them, because we became what we are due to a humongous load of coincidences (the climate for life to develop existing in the first place, different zones with different conditions, even other organisms affecting the evolutionary process, et cetera), and it is practically impossible (not like winning a lottery, I mean terrifyingly small fractions of a percent) that they will even resemble us. I also reckon it will immediately be on the news, because a real visit from alien races will not go unnoticed. @DLlama Not likely. That's an audio glitch, which is due to various factors in data transfer. Data is compressed into multiple formats, then segmented out into packets. Due to the protocol needed for audio/video data transfer known as UDP, it likely lost some packets that specify the syncronization. If you clear your cache on either the browser or close the app, you can restart the video and it will likely be synced better for you. I'm a Computer Networking specialist and Cybersecurity professional, so hopefully I could help you out. If you need instructions based on your browser, I suggest using google to search "clear cache on [insert browser name such as Chrome]" or completely close out the app you are using if that is the case. That is daddy long legs, the most harmless spider to humans. They dont produce venom or spin silk, and some species are known to eat other spiders. The posible reson they make those clusters is because they are trying to preserve body humidity and/or for protection. Hope this helps to know more about them and be a little less afraid of them 😊

It's a little hard to tell for sure given the distance from the camera, but the cluster of spiders looks more like harvestmen which regularly get confused as being spiders. Both are arachnids, but harvestmen lack most of the common features found in spiders. For instance harvestmen only have two eyes whereas spiders typically have around six to eight, although there are exceptions. They also lack the ability to produce venom and webs. They are pretty much harmless, and are usually found in tightly packed clusters for warmth and protection from predators.

Kids are weird. I remember growing up in a really hot little town. So every day before going to school I put this big beer mug full of water in the fridge, so I can have some cold water coming home. One day I came home and my mom had made this huge bowl of pancake dough. As she was making it, I was following her all around the kitchen, sipping my water. At one point she was getting nervous that I might spill some of the water in the mix, because I was so close to it. So she tried to use sarcasm to get me to stop. So she said, "Why don't you just throw that whole glass of water in here!!". Now in her mind the message was pretty clear. But in my mind, I was really upset that she wanted my water, because there was no other really cold water around, but she was my mother, so I really didn't have a choice. So I slowly emptied the entire glass into the bowl. Now she couldn't do anything, because she was holding the bowl in her one arm, and this big mixing spoon in the other. So she just looked at me with these huge eyes while I was emptying the glass into the bowl. She didn't say a word, she just slammed the bowl down on the kitchen table thing, and walked out. I was left alone in the kitchen confused, not understanding wtf was going on. Not only did I lose my cold water to my mothers cooking, but now I had the distinct feeling she was mad at me, the very thing I was trying to avoid, by giving her my cold water, even though I didn't want to. I didn't argue, I didn't refuse, I was a good boy, and just did what she told me to do. I can't remember what happened after that, it's been so long ago. Point is simply, kids minds works in mysterious ways. They might do something you think is evil, but they're really just trying to do good.

@@kxl309 there are lots of different daddy long legs. Cellar spiders are thin, web building spiders which can actually bite humans, although symptoms are usually mild. Harvestmen don’t have fangs and are non-venomous, and instead have foul smelling and tasting chemicals. There are also crane flies/robber flies which also have long legs but these guys have wings and aren’t even arachnids. Basically anything with long spindly legs becomes a daddy long legs

When I was a teen, I went caving with my uncle who was really into it. We were in a part where we had to lie on our back and then pull ourselves along a very narrow tunnel, there was maybe 3 or 4 inches between my face and the ceiling. I was first, of course, and somewhere in the middle of the tunnel on the ceiling was one of these spider nests. I hate spiders, and that was the single most terrifying experience of my life. All I could do was close my eyes, hold my breath, and keep moving as hundreds of spiders fell onto my face and scurried all over the place. Thankfully that tunnel led outside where I was able to stand up and brush them all off. Yes, I know they aren't actually spiders. It's just easier to say it that way and everyone knows what I'm talking about.

I believe that’s a cluster of Brown daddy long legs, which are surprisingly not spiders but a different order of arachnid called Opiliones (still scary for arachnophobia though). They’re nocturnal and they sleep in clusters like that for warmth. Some fun facts about them are that they are also often called Harvestmen because they were first described in the fall during harvest time, and they don’t have mating rituals like most arachnids, rather the male and female simply spend time rubbing each other legs before mating
