Who here have heard or seen these same transport people reducing fares when the fuel price decreases. Their legitimate reason for their increase has always been about the price of fuel,but why do they refuse to do same when the same price decreases?

GPRTU has no justification of the current fare increment not even 1%.Remember fuel was increased to 24.5 cedis a gallon and fares were increased accordingly when fuel prices reduced to 11.60 GPRTU refused to do the needful, so the question why if fuel is selling at 14.5.The double slapping of the ordinary Ghanaian is becoming too many

The drivers decieded to join a union and as such much respect the union. the drivers frustration should be directed at the union, not withstanding the fact that they are still buying the fuel at the increased price.Yes the drivers have to pay the conductor...The passengers should also understand that the drivers need the fuel to move the it vehicles, make money to care for their families too.

The drivers are insensitive and thief including that GPRTU. The last time transport was increase, fuel was around 20gh. Fuel dropped to an average of 13gh and the fare remains same. Fuel is now 14gh less than the 20gh and consumers need to suffer it. Ghana can only work again when we change our mindset

They don’t just talk about fuel. I am sure u don’t read wide. They always talk about increase in fuel affects basically everything cos it is fueled by the depreciation of the cedis to the dollar. When this happens, it doesn’t only affect fuel but also the price of car parts, engine oil and the rest. A car tyre I bought 200 cedis just last 2 weeks is now been sold for 250 cedis. So pls don’t blame them. No one wish to wake up in the morning, go work and make a loss or no profit.. If u have any depressure, direct them to ur leader…

Per my observation, the main issue with passengers fighting over the increment is that, after fuel prices are being increased, drivers and mates increase the fares on their own before the official one from GPRUT. And so it makes them increase it twice. And it’s a problem. You’ll complain but nothing will be done and so you’d have to succumb at the end of the day. Because you obviously can’t walk home.
