That phrase "To change the settings, copy a file from the system configuration path to the subdirectory" is part of the manpage for Geany, a GTK IDE framework (generally for Linux and Gnome, possibly Mac). Could mean the system is leaking some information from its local filesystem or they copied some test data over there. I don't believe it's a symlink or anything, that would output a lot more human-readable text. The BUSL license is an alternative name for the source-available Business Source License.

I have no idea what you are explaining but I am convinced your right ........
@javabeanz85498 сағат бұрын
What if the references mean to find those words in different documents, and then the page numbers and/or the position on the page gives the real messages? You may have just pointed out one of the "code books" used. Codes generated from an identical installation on another computer, referencing files that would be on those two computers, or bootable images even.
@Stevie-J4 сағат бұрын
I'm just spitballing here, but perhaps it's a red herring, or a pointer towards a book cipher (but in this case the "book" is a standardized digital document which is widely available)
@WOFFY-qc9teСағат бұрын
@ Yep that sound good, so the "Book" is actually a file to be referenced on a computer. Right got that. GCHQ are probably doing a test for recruits. I would embed copy-write in an image pixel which cant be seen .

Another great video! How do you do it, Lewis?! I love your channel - high quality, rare content, super videography & editing. You do a great job. Happy I've been a subscriber for years, now. Other remarks: Enigma2000 threw me out some years ago when I wasn't contributing listening reports. Despite the fact it was relevant to my then job. Are they now more welcoming? I have TDOA knowledge: it is one of the techniques (the main one) used by multilateration systems to locate cooperative aircraft within 2 metres. Yes, position accuracy within 2 metres. A receiving station clock synchronisation is required (often using GNSS satellites) and nanosecond (femtosecond is better!) stabilized clock accuracy. The more receivers the better, but the calculation complexity increases with the number of pair permutations within the total number of receiving stations. Also the geographical dispersion geometry of receiving stations is important to ensure the most accurate result. The result is a 3D position when more than 4 receivers are used. This technique is also used for Precision Height Monitors which measure whether aircraft are flying at the designated altitude, a necessary task when RVSM reduced vertical separation minima (between flight levels for aircraft) are in use. All the best, Rob in Switzerland

TDOA is dependent on highly accurate timing - atomic clocks at each monitoring source. Otherwise various inaccuracies are introduced that make it very difficult to determine the location.

For some reason many words in the sentences belong to individual lexical fields, in general 2 of them per sentence

There seems to be a number of weird CW stations scattered about on HF lately. It sounds as though traffic is being sent by hand as it is poorly timed and tends to sound sloppy. Going to start logging these as I hear them.

Looking at the French text, it contains some interesting anomalies. I am not immediately fmiliar with "CLAMRENT" - it seems some letters are missing. Maybe CLAMOURENT. with OU missing "ROYAUM" is missing an E, and normally if ACQUISE should make sense it should agree with a feminine noun not ROYAUME which is masculine. AINSI QUE means "as well as" but the QUE is not written correcty here - UE are missing with I substituted. COLRE could be "coloré" or probably colère but again missing letters. troisième is missing È Very curious. I think the omissions/"errors" are significant for the message. The second example contains "subdirectorys" which is not a correct plural. So it could be deliberate or pseudo-English from a non-English mothertongue source. Best, Rob in Switzeröand

Pieton is that huge trench in the ocean, I think it is the Atlantic Ocean Where the depth is 25,000 feet or something like that. I wonder if that last message is for a submarine, although I wonder why they would use mosre code to transmit this I wonder now, with all the technology in a smart satellite phone why you would need a number station The information is sent by satellite or encrypted military ground communications The thought of someone using a shortwave radio in this day and age, it is really isolated, the only thing that you would need is a small shortwave radio, but I think if you are in that deep of an operation where you can't use or risk using any type of communication, this would be a way to get information to your opratives Or if you are a bad guy, you could send secret messages on where to go and what to do. Like the Carte De Credit, I think that is a bank and Brise could be a last name.
