Great video! Thank you!.... I did go to a yard sale where the lady had a bunch of vintage 70s-90s aviator books, brochures and pamphlets. Her ex-husband was a pilot I asked if she had more and she said they were in her trash can (recycle bin). She said I could go through it, and take whatever I wanted... and I'm sure glad I did. I ended up finding not only old aviator books & brochures..., but also found some vintage patches, stickers, flight training books, and more. It was awesome! Best wishes! -Steven

Haha I can't believe that guy actually said "You're gonna probably put it back"! What?! Is he trying to sell stuff or just showing off his collection? Glad you found some treasures that made it worth your time! I pretty much constantly find things I didn't expect to because I scour every sale I go to. One example that sticks out was a set of Henri Bendel coasters for $5. They sold for $250! Weren't even old (like 2005) and did not look valuable. Then of course that designer hoarder sale about a month ago, so many unbelievable finds in those musty bins! I had this one horrible experience with an unpriced estate sale. There was a LOT of good stuff there, I spent about 2 hours making my pile. I would have paid up for most of it bc it was worth it. But then I get to the front of the line, and the lady looks up every single item on eBay or google and asks for like 10% less than the retail price of most things! Took like 30 minutes to check out. Thankfully she missed a few and I ended up profiting like $500 but wow was that annoying. Learned my lesson to ask for a few prices before wasting a bunch of time gathering.

Went to an estate sale after seeing a Rushton Rubber Faced doll in the preview photos and was so disappointed when it was out of my price range $86.00. Went through the kitchen on the way out and found a very heavy but small (3 inches long) fish figurine. "Felt" the quality and paid $1.00. Went back the next day for 50% off day the Rushton was STILL there. I asked for a better price when checking out. Got it for $30.00 and sold two weeks later for $305.00. The fish? Turned out to be an antique bronze pipe rest by the Jennings Brothers. Sold in a few months for $145.00. I LOVE estate sales!!!

@Ready Set Resell Be prepared darlin. Some find them pretty/cute. Far FAR from it in my opinion. They are ugly as sin and usually beat the hell up. Another great estate sale! Nice finds, especially the gold filled glasses. Whenever an estate sale listing goes up, I check every picture and try to comp whatever catches my eye. Normally it’s nothing, but when I find something I want/need, I try to make a mental map of the house based on the pictures. My wife rolls her eyes whenever I do this, but I’ve gotten good stuff that way 😹 Usually I go for toys and electronics, but I always check clothing, purses, shoes etc for my wife since she does more of that than I do (I am branching out though). Once at an estate sale, I didn’t really find much for myself. Just a couple $15-$20 items maybe. Then I checked a rack of scarves and found a nice vintage Dior for $2. My wife ended up selling it for $80-$90 if I remember correctly.

Hey, what’s up brother?! Great video. I always love your content. And yes, one time I went to an estate sale and I was the only one there and I was looking for video games because that’s my number one thing I love to collect and resell. But when I got there, they didn’t have any but they did have a lot of vintage vinyls. I’ve never bought any before, but I thought I’d take a chance at them. I started scanning a few of them and some of them are popping up pretty good. I ended up making a deal with the seller and I paid $50 for about a little over 50 vinyl records. I recently sold all of them and made a $579 profit!! And I have 2 left one is a Banned cover and I’m sure when I do sell the last 2 I’ll definitely get over $600 in profit. One of my biggest scores yet. I knew nothing about them but I took a chance and now I know it’s a definitely look for those.🙏🏻😀

I don't believe in "everything selling" and just sitting there looking stuff up and wasting time. I used to do that, and it's a mess. It's a game of luck hoping to randomly find cool things and then research them to list them, etc. Better to niche down and dominate your specific product / market. It makes sense for you to do it because you make your money on KZbin views and keeping it exciting for your viewers but this is just Hollywood - in real life the people scrambling around their garage sales / estate sales are often failing or wasting tons of time.
@ReadySetResell Жыл бұрын
I disagree. You can defiantly be successful by “niching down” but when you are sourcing from sales like the ones I go to I defiantly believe it’s better to have knowledge in a lot of things over one niche. That way you can capitalize when opportunity presents itself and not be walking out of multiple sales empty handed because you didn’t find items your one niche. If I were to niche down I would source more so from specific places. For example if I was only looking to sell brand new women’s clothing then I would do more RA from places like Nordstrom rack, tj maxx, Ross, or buying wholesale pallets. As you do more and more of the kind of sourcing I do you’ll get faster at spotting & selecting items. You also won’t have to look as much stuff up either. It all comes with experience. Also, My content isn’t “Hollywooding.” Reselling like this is how I make my income. And while yes I do make money from KZbin, it’s nowhere close to my reselling income. I was reselling like this before I started KZbin and had no problems doing it this way. And that remains true now as well.
