So instead of calling the fleet to move closer, the new leader ( who had no idea of numbers, the crews, the new armaments, power, shielding, speed, movability, ) goes out to them! Plus if you don't know your own weaknesses, how can you protect yourself?

Stupid story. You put people in charge of ships they have never trained on but the rest isn’t bad
