One detail that is intresting about Taiki being so "normal" looking is probably to highlight how good he is at acting. Guy literally looks like a rando you'd find anywhere, but as soon as he steps in Kana sees him as Blade and he gets to instantly bring her into character as well (hence the metaphor with them acting and paint covering the whole set).
