I really like the way Jacks has fixed the sitting position of the ily4ever dolls but I don’t like reducing the double jointed knees to single jointing and also getting rid of the inset eyes for painted ones. They are well done eyes though. And having nylon hair is great. The fashion inspiration pieces are cute especially the hat. The balloons with Disney parks foods are so much better, I want more Disney parks food/ accessories ect. Instead of those cheap rings that really don’t add anything to the dolls and are easily found at the dollar stores or in children’s dress up jewelry. Also as cute as the doll purses are I wish they were actually usablely functional!

I really like that they can finally sit and im honestly just glad that the dolls hair is no longer poly. To me,hair quality on dolls should be one of the most important things for the dolls creation. And the painted eyes aren’t bad at all but putting lets say, bambi next to tiana, there gonna look a bit weird next to each other on display.

Great review, thank you. I have several in the first series that I love, and the new series looks great too. I'm glad the new series can sit. I love the inset eyes, but it seems they had some trouble getting the eyes to be lined up, so maybe that's why the new series has painted eyes. The painted eyes are also cute.

I love this second series!!! More outfits/accessories is awesome, and OMG they fixed the articulation?! They can actually sit now?! YES!!! FINALLY!!! I hope they fix all the Disney Princess dolls in future waves as well! I'm tired of having to give them all head swaps onto Barbie bodies just so they can sit down lol. I'll trade the double jointed knees for proper sitting if we can't have both. The painted eyes are gorgeous! I prefer painted to inset, because for me it's better for customizing, plus I don't have to worry about the eyes popping out if I heat up the head to do a reroot, head swap, etc. lol And nylon hair, too? Thank goodness!!!! So much better!!! I wonder - do the new dolls have pierced ears like the ones in the first line? Some of the fashion/accessory packs came with earrings, and all the dolls had pierced ears, so they could wear them. I wonder if the second series does too. Strange though, why are Jakks Pacific making these dolls and not Shop Disney? I do wish the balloon was still included rather than the ring. I have no use for the ring, whereas the balloon is a great prop and has a cute surprise inside that's also a great prop. And wow, I had no idea you could fixed warped purses with warm water. I'll have to try that for sure! Thanks for the tip! And I totally agree with you about the first series shoes. Several of them do NOT want to come off, and I just know I'm going to break an ankle. So if they're like that, they don't go on the dolls, which is a big waste.

Jakks Pacific actually makes the fashion dolls for Shop Disney. At least, that's according to someone in the know. I wish they had the inset eyes like the Shop Disney one, but what happens is that Disney insists that the stuff made for their parks and website have different features. Like Mattel can make really nice dolls, but the deal with Disney is they can't detail the clothes and sculpts as much as the ones that Jakks makes for them (meaning the Disney princess dolls). If you look at say a Mattel Snow White doll vs. a Shop Disney Snow White doll, it's a world of difference. I definitely want all these dolls. I have all the Shop Disney ones except the boy doll that is Aladdin themed. I'm debating him. I just bought 7 of the new fashion packs today because US Shop Disney is doing a 25% off sale. I needed those ride-themed ones especially that amazing Mad Hatter Tea Party one. Looks great! I hope they do more ride-themed ones. I would love Small World as a theme. I love the new Jasmine fashion pack so much more than the Jasmine doll's clothes or the other Jasmine fashion pack. I'm happy they're stepping out of princesses. Princesses are nice, but I want some other characters. I would love to see some Winnie the Pooh stuff. Especially Eeyore. I think Alice from Alice in Wonderland would be great! So would Queen of Hearts with a card theme. So many possibilities. Would also be nice to see a redhead doll. I wish the Bambi doll had red hair. I'm not up to reroot these dolls. No way. Oh no, I didn’t know they were coming out with an 18” Stitch doll! I love Stitch and think I need that on besides the Stitch fashion doll! Thank you so much for showing all the differences between the ShopDisney and Jakks Pacific ones! I don’t mind the painted eyes though the inset eyes were nice. It’s so nice the hair and articulation is better (I’d rather she can sit instead of having double joints in the knees).

I adore them. I got Mickey and Ursula. Mine dont have ankle articulation so thats odd. The hair is so nice and I love that they sit. *scratch that, i just tested my dolls and the ankles are articulated. Mine are just stiff. Also, these dolls can straight up do the splits! Nice!

She looks so pretty, her outfits look adorable!! Am happy to hear her hair is better then the first dolls. Though sad to see that the double joint keens are gone. As for the insert eyes, I did like them on the first dolls, but the painted eyes look good to me too. This is just me but am so happy she came with those big boots, because I want to dress this doll as Sailor Moon and she having big boots makes it a lot easier for me :)

I’m still confused as why 2 different companies are making the same brand of dolls yet they look different? I really need explanation on why / how shop Disney and jacks pacific are doing ily4ever fashion size dolls, it would really be helpful if you could provide a video explaining this situation.

@@TeyeraRoyale The first wave was also made by Jakks Pacifics (like all other Disney Store dolls and figures sets before) , it was just not written on the box. The main problem with the inserted eyes was that they was made "cheep" with just a little sticker in the middle that can be easy damaged by water or even with a hair dryer. :(

Hmm she feels like a knock-off to me. The removal of the inset eyes, the more limited joints. Something about her just looks off to me 😕

I wouldn’t say the joints are more limited since they can actually sit now and couldn’t before and their legs don’t pop off
