They Might Be Giants perform "Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love" in reverse

Also known as "Stilloob". Taken from Flymachine livestream at First Avenue in Minneapolis on October 14, 2022, which was a show celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Flood. The show was originally scheduled to take place in May of 2020 but due to the pandemic and a car crash involving John Flansburgh in 2021, the show was pushed back to fall of 2022. Like nearly all the shows on this tour, First Ave was sold out.

I just saw them do this live two days ago in Dallas. Insane. They played Stellub (Sapphire Bullets in reverse) in the first set. At the beginning of the second set, they darkened the room a bit and played a video of that song from the first set, but in reverse, and dear lord, that is one weird thing to learn how to do, much less perform live. I don't know of another band that would even attempt this, much less live.

Seeing them do this live in SLC, they didn't say which song they were doing this with, and to play it back live has to be the most musically mind-blowing thing I've witnessed live 😅 just amazing!
