Here's the deal: If y'all are worried about Drake being the "pay to win" option, don't be. I've got one and while it's very heavy, it doesn't have a lot else going on that you can't get out of more readily available beys. It's slightly unbalanced, is top heavy, and tends to lost stamina all at once at the end. Just use a Dran Sword or Phoenix Wing and you'll get pretty much everything Drake has to offer and then some.

It’s not just the 1g difference, it’s mainly that they added it to the app again. That move keeps it behind a more expensive pay wall still. Cobalt drake was only broken because of the weight as well… remove that and it’s nothing special.

100% this. The coat is obviously going to make they blade heavier unless they remove weight somewhere else. Which is an extra step in production... No matter how much they care about game balance, no company is spending several thousand dollars to put an extra step in production for that. Kinda makes me wonder tho, if it'd be against the rules to plate your own bey for customization purposes if it's a blade that has a coated variant, as long as it doesn't go above the official plated bey's weight. I would love to do that, but I have a feeling that wouldn't fly with refs. I can definitely see reasons why it shouldn't be allowed, different metals potentially changing the contact properties of the blades in a way that could crate a meta that's inaccessible to people with less disposable income. But it would be cool. The differences would be probably too small to have an impact but there's a chance it could.

Takara Tomy most like changed the “mould.” Which is, they changed the way the beyblade is produced, this was most likely to increase durability. Unfortunately in the process they managed to remove a gram off the final weight.

If you end up winning a Beyblade through the rare bey get battle and you're using one of those companies to ship it over here your best bet is to ship it with other products that way you get more bang for your buck. It makes it easier to justify spending over $30 for shipping for a product that costs $1,600 yen.

Yeah every other region besides Japan is a bit behind. I’m not sure how long, but Japan is the most recently updated. I don’t think you can change your account region, unless you reset your account. I could be wrong though so I’d ask others to be safe.

I want Hasbro to bring back Burn Phoenix from the Metal Fusion Beyblade series. That would be so cool, especially with its orange and yellow color scheme and the engraved "BURN WHEEL" on its blade. The clear Cobalt Drake looks way better than the original one, along with that there comes another plus point of being able to use it without fear of ruining it like the original one that has the most unwanted paint that chips off anyways. Its like u did an amazing work of face paint but if u take a shower it's all going down the drain, I don't see the point of painted beys, I do love colors no doubt bout that but I'd prefer color that doesn't fade away, if it's gonna fade away or chip off in this case I'd prefer not to have any paint on it or just paint the parts that r not contact points. Honestly painted beys make no sense to me it's as good as buying a painted sledge hammer 🔨 that can't be used if u wanna preserve its beauty, what's the point?
