Honestly I don’t think Keef had a 100k to bail him out. The bail amount for Drose was one million. 10% of a million is 100k at the time that Drose got locked up Keef was a 16-18 year old kid who had been spending his money wildly and recklessly, he moved himself, his family and all his boys who wanted to leave with him and their families. He was being hella reckless nutting in all kinds of women gathering all kinds of baby mama which also costs alot of money. Additionally around the same time he got dropped by his record label and idk how many people know this but all that money rappers get from the record labels in the beginning is a front on their paycheck. It’s basically a huge ass payday loan. If you don’t fulfill your contract and your label drops you then you are responsible to pay that record label back a certain amount of money if not most of what they gave you. It doesn’t seem like he had a 100k laying around to bail Drose out. Plus everything I mentioned was on top of him fighting his own cases and fines in both Chicago and Cali which I’m sure included lawyers fees as well. All this isn’t cheap and unfortunately a lot of men feel a lot of shame if they have to admit they don’t have money to help. I think people assume too much about how much money they think Keef should have had but in that moment if he had money doesn’t it sound like it was pretty tied up at the moment? I mean isnt there a reason why a lot of newer artists are going independent and not signing with record labels?
