Well, it depends what you think "emo" means. This song is definitely emotional, all of Saosin's songs are deeply emotional. "On my face I've scratched out something like a silhouette." "I see a blank notebook page; it's my life, and there's nothing I can think to write." Their lyrics are one of the main reasons I love them so much. People nowadays have a very convoluted meaning for the term "emo". It doesn't mean wearing eyeliner and cutting yourself while listening to Hawthorne Heights.

anthony is a great performer. i love how he interprets the music and fuckin rocks out to it. ever since he left saosin, the rest of the band never go as crazy on stage as they did before. cove isnt as good as anthony when he sings the old songs cuz he didnt compose them. dont hate on anthony's voice. the whole "translating the name" ep was sung by him. and its freakin awesome.

I filmed this video, it was taken on september 15 @soma's in san diego. The reason its only on the left ear is because it was filmed with a shitty sony hi-8 camera. I never found out how to edit and put on both speakers. The reason why there's no mic's on stage is because the other 2 mic's took a shit while they were playing their set. I have the whole set still on video, I just dont know how to edit and what not.

this drummer is Alex Rodriguez, the same they have now, the drum beats on TTN were made by beau in Pro Tools then sent to a drummer for hire to learn and play on the recording. if you dont believe me, look on the message board they moderate, it says so on there.

this wouldnt fit in the last one, but i wish people wouldn't say that anthony was on drugs when he wrote the lyrics for the songs he did with saosin. he wrote story lyrics, and beau made them fit with the music. beau is a musical genious though, structures most of the songs. wrote the drums for the ep, even though pat mcgrath played the drums. but if you like the way circa sounds, you might like the way greene reveal sounds. they use similar styles and harmonies. wish they would tour more.

I love how no matter what Saosin video I go to there's always people comparing Anthony and Cove. It's really old and not to mention annoying. Saosin is fine without Anthony now and what Cove is doing in the band is pretty good too. But in response to blaboy, the Saosin songs that will actually stick and last will always be the ones that Anthony originally wrote. In all honesty there isn't really even any bad blood between the two. There's even a video with them singing Dear child together.

not sure if you have listened to either of those bands, but both are good. mayday being one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite. but i still like saosin, with anthony green. also, the fact that you don't want to be surrounded by girls, is a little wierd. even though some will be younger than you, there will usually be older girls too.

(i think it would be cool if he did guest vocals on some new saosin songs)

(unless they are ten.) i do love saosin, old and new, and circa survive is amazing. to juturna, i dont slamdance at concerts. you could say they changed their name, just not the way they spelled it. with anthony they were "say-oh-shin". now they are "say-oh-sin". i dont really agree. anthony green fanboys would still have followed them around bashing the band. in turn, nothing would be different but their name. @ andrashka3 The vocalist in Of Machines can't compare to Anthony. Sure the dude is good and all but his range is half of what Anthony's is... The dude in Of Machines seems to use head tones a lot... although it sounds pretty cool when he does, consider the amount of times he does it... I imagine he'd want to pack his head in bucket of ice after every show... ...oh and Anthony doesn't need to use head tones to hit the notes that dude does... Anthony only needs his modal voice! :)

look, anthony brought the soul to the band, its only natural they lost what made them special when he chose to leave. he moved on to bigger and honestly much better things. saosin is a different, and yes, much weaker band now, but there shouldnt be hard feelings. if you like saosin now, well go pretend slam dance at an arena with all the 14 year old girls. thats totally your choice. but not me man. i'll be listening to circa. that first ep really did kick ass tho, huh?

Honestly, the only reason their shows were so lifeful back then and that he was screaming all over the place was because he was constantly on a coke trip every show he went to while in Saosin. The other band members got into it, and slowly he realized it wasn't right for him during his throat surgery at home. He decided not to go back, and made a band with an old friend as what we know today as Circa Survive. And people stop comparing. Cove sucks. Period. ;D

I just have to clear something up. I don't hate Cove. As a matter of fact, I like Saosin's new songs as much as their old ones. BUT to be honest, Cove still sucks when it comes to singing. I mean, the way he screams now, is much better than the way he did before. But when it comes to ACTUAL singing, I think Cove still has to work on that A LOT.
