Simon is no longer the grumpy guy who crushes the dreams of contestants in the most brutal ways…now he’s a willing volunteer who often shows a lot of compassion and vulnerability, aka a very affable bloke who is so much more fun to watch than his past self. Twenty years ago, if you told me that he’d let his son press a button on their table during a show & be happy about it…I would’ve told you that would never happen…yet that’s exactly what Eric did at BGT when he ran up to the judges’ table and hit the golden buzzer for Haribo (an impressive 4-man double Dutch dance team from Nihon 🇯🇵) and Simon approved of it.

​@@roadstar499irrelevant. You can easily have people stand in certain spots and remember the distance while mentally keeping an image of the stage open in your mind. Its not that difficult. While I don't swing a sword around blindfolded I can walk through places I have been even only a few times in pitch black. Remembering the number of steps, layout, and features of a location are bare bone basics you would need to have good situational awareness.

Right. The original two that were selected by him did not seem concerned at all, hence they were already part of the act and paid to assist him. They didn’t show any fear at all when he approached them and did what he did with their selected items. Therefore when it was Howie’s turn his concerns turned into shouts of no no no!! The man then knew where he was so when he then chopped the pineapple he knew exactly where his sword should be. Good acting but completely predictable.
