Finn and Rachel nailed that song, both sounded so good and it's amazing to witness Finn's vocal evolution throughout the show. It's always magic when they sing together. Looking at the performance, the looks of love they exchange with each other was so real and sadly, it was their last duet. It's one of my favorite duets from them alongside Faithfully.

Betty Pillsbury (Emma's niece ) was played by Alyson Stroker. She was a finalist on the second season of The Glee Project, and she is the first ever actor to use a wheelchair to appear on a Broadway stage, and also the first to be nominated for and win a Tony Award...

(Not) Getting Married Today is from the Stephen Sondheim musical "Company". It's a legit song. I had to sing that high part (that Mercedes sang) in a production of Side by Side by Sondheim and I had a cold. Not an easy thing to do.

Matt was supposed to leave Glee in season 5. Since Cory passed away, he ended up staying. The original direction of the show was Finn taking Schue's spot. They set that up way back in sectionals.

fun fact: the girl who plays the girl in the weelchair (forgot her name) is called ali stroker, she was one of the runner ups on the glee project (a reality competition show where the winners would get to play a role in glee), and she became the first handicapable person to be nominated and win a tony!

16:25 Marley is talking about Cyrano de Bergerac here, it's a play based on a real person. Basically, in the play, Cyrano was a romantic guy who knew beautiful words but thought he didn't have a chance with women for being too ugly in appearance, so he helped his clueless friend woo them instead.

3 things 1-Jake and Marley's voices blend so well together 2-Knowing about Cory's death makes the show so hard to watch. Knowing about Finn's death leaves me devastated, with full on tears. The thing is Cory and Lea were about to get married in real life or something and watching this episode just made me feel pained and sympathetic and I really felt for Lea and Rachel Berry. 3-Amazing covers in this episode. We Got Tonite, Anything Could Happen, and Your All I Need To Get By.

"Getting Married Today" is from Sondheim's 1970 Broadway hit "Company". It's a quirky number as you've heard since it jumps back and forth between singers, tones and pacing. Thier performance on this show was a near 1:1 to the original.

I remember when I first saw this episode and saw Mercedes sing opera and I was like 😱 But later on Amber Riley (who plays Mercedes), said on an interview that she’s actually opera trained, so there you go.

I hate the say this but these last few episodes are so hard to watch with how Corey looks. Lots of people talk about how "good" he looked, but now we know what was really going on and know whats coming. Its just rough.

Ali Stroker is the woman who is in the wheelchair. She was in the glee project with Blake Jenner and came in second I believe. It sucks that we got the decent singer, but otherwise very bland white straight, cis guy for so many episodes (who turned out to not be a great human) and we only got Ali, the talented, queer and handicapped individual, for a couple of episodes. She could of had so many more interesting story lines than the whole Ryder/Marley/Jake love triangle! She has since gone on to win a Tony as the first actor to appear on a Broadway stage in a wheelchair which is great :)

In my opinion, Ryan Murphy should’ve never created the Glee Project because all of the winners’ roles on the actual show had no significant presence and wasted potential (with the exception of Alex Newell).
@kathleenmansure74169 ай бұрын
@@brycespeed_ I think the initial idea was cool because the fact that Kurt was created for Chris Colfer is iconic, so creating other characters based off of what a person could bring to the role is great, but they could have just done that with open auditions. There were just too many story lines already going on and by the time these glee project kids were cast Brad/Ian/Ryan had handed the reins over to other writers who didn't have the original feeling.
@nightfrost18919 ай бұрын
@@kathleenmansure7416 it seems like they just lacked inspiration on these characters because not every person you can create a character around even if they do well/win i think maybe it should have been two set characters and it basically yeah, film a competition to see who fits the role the best and they win because most of the glee project winners were good singers but completely lackluster/no thought put behind their roles besides alex's character i loved ali though and i remembered how much i loved her rendition of popular on glee project, one of the only performances i remember from that show tbh

I gotta be honest, I thought this episode was horrible when I first watched it. I felt like everyone's character development devolved and almost everyone was out-of-chatacter, doing things just because the script said so and not because it made sense for their character's personality or where they're at in life, SPECIALLY Kurt. Rewatching today... Yep, it's still nauseating to see most of the storylines on this one. It's top 10 worst episodes material for me, despite a few good songs.
