People forget how good the Van Dijk and Gomez partnership was in the title winning season. Gomez is still a great player, although not aerially dominant like Konate. I expected Haaland to sit on Gomez but Van Dijk followed him everywhere.

Yes JOGO is not respected enough. I remember an 11 game stretch before Xmas when that was the centre back partnership we didn't concede one goal. Then the burnley game away he got assualted and was out for the season. We won CL that year with Matip (well deserved) who got all the praise instead.

It's important that Liverpool keep winning their games. You are still going to get the same 3 point whether you play City, Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester etc. You don't have to beat your direct rivals to win the league, you just have to win more games than everyone.

As a Liverpool Fan ,it's not over . We have started brilliantly,but it's not over at all. I remember we were 11 behind Everton in 85/86 season, who were Champions. Somehow we found away to come back and win the Double. City will find a way to find some form . Noway is it over .Arsenal also will be in the mix.

It's going to be tough to reach the same performances of the last two games again. I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool drop points in those two games. It's nowhere near over yet.

Never seen so many threaded passes from the reds, under klopp the sideways pass was the norm, at times annoying especially when the through ball was on, Slots got them focused on compact play with threaded passes being priority, that’s what I’ve noticed anyway 😊YNWA

Exactly last season we were favorites with just 8 games left and the wheels came off Palace , Everton, beat us . West ham and villa took 2 pts off us and we never even came close . Some people have bad memories

You have to look into context here. Yes we fell apart last season but that's because our injured players who just came back were not fit. We had almost an entire team injured. Do you think Arsenal and City can deal with that amount of injuries? We did well to finish 3rd last season.

Way too early!!! Liverpool have had a 4 year holiday of mediocrity, 1 community shield, an FA cup & carabao cup in 4 years! Against a team that’s dominated and won the lot! And it showed on Sunday! Liverpool had to build for 4 years and now full of energy, whereas city look a frail team, they look like a team that’s won the lot!
