Love Big Sam....so down to earth, loves a bit of banter and has so many stories from the past. Golf can be infuriating - hit a great tee shot, then ruin it with 2 or 3 duffers after that. Then on next hole make a par! Tubes' driving definitely improved but his usual solid putting was off today.

Love the video, Tubes you have improved so much. You get lots of tips and advice that must drive you mad but I have one for you to consider. When you set up for your driver and longer clubs you seem to have your ams fully extended and almost too straight, it creates tension, JB and all,of the other good ball strikers have a more relaxed arm position at set up. It was pointed out tome recently and relaxing the arms has helped me enormously

One day, I'd take on Rory, and the next, I'd quite happily never pick up a club again. 8 years ago, I was off 7, then I didn't play for 7 years, and now I'm off 15, so I know what I'm doing wrong and know what to do. It's just getting my body to do what I want

Then your real shot you're trying to hit the ball which you should never do Its a mental thing, you see the ball and think you need to hit You're supposed to just swing the club freely and the ball gets in the way You're never supposed to actually try to hit the ball

Pretty much everybodys are Practice swings there is no ball, you're just swinging freely the way you should Then when it comes to your real shot you get obsessed with hitting the ball You're not supposed to try and hit the ball, you swing the club and the ball just gets in the way

Tubes, love that you have got better at golf, but what made these vids great was the chat with guest about football and life, along with the banter, and the golf was a great setting for it all. It’s not all about the handicap and GIR etc etc. Particularly if your guest clearly ain’t bothered about all that. 10 mins into the video and all you have asked Sam is “what’s your handicap”?

Big Sam real character and modern football needs a few like him, too many robots now. He made a rod for his own back, too good as a fire fighter, so he got all the rescue jobs, and saving a team seemingly doomed is never going to be pretty.
