Having seen but not played both games i like the Isle slightly more. PoT seems more accessible. Especially considering it's also on console. And with it's quests, it's plays more, or at least seems more, like a game. Whereas the Isle makes you feel like a real dinosaur/animal that is just trying to survive.

Btw something this game absolutely holds against the Isle is you can strafe/move freely, basically you walk around in three dimensional space instead of just going forward to move or turn. I believe it ALT. Oh and you can hover in place with pterosaurs in the same manner. Speaking of pterosaurs, remember how you guys waited for Quetzalcoatl to be added?..

as a carnivore there is indeed a quest that requires you to "kill a herbivore", which is another player. its a hard to complete quest at the beginning but its also more rewarding than a regular quest

The earliest manta ray fossils we have found are about 20 million years old. The Deinonychus that they play as went extinct about 100 million years ago. So if the game is trying to be accurate it’s probably a prehistoric ray. We have found fossil evidence or prehistoric relatives of manta rays.

if you try out diffrent servers ull realise they are all set up in complete diff ways such as Mods instant growth from quests and also passive growth and one of the quest u get says kill herbivore those are player kill missions (giant impact crater on the map is a hot spot that is where most ppl go)

Yesss!!! After watching that isle video, I got really into Path of Titan and now I play it every night to unwind. I actually prefer this over the Isle tbh. I usually go to a server with passive growth so you don’t have to do the quests as much, my favorites are the Arazoa servers. I usually play as a Compy, run around super fast, have other join you to build a hoard of tiny rats basically, steal meat, bite ankles, annoy the shit out of everyone and then have ppl fall in love with your cuteness

i Like the fact of knowing that evrima has been out for 4 years now, going on 5. They still don't have a apex carni put in (unless you count deino) while PoT does have access to more dinos and a in-game map, i feel as most dino's animation need worked on. I find the isle to be better if realism is your sort of playing. If not, then chill back and play PoT or BoB casually.

PoT stole Isle's Legacy code so they already had a base to work off of. The Isle has a smaller dev team pumping up entirely unique dinosaurs with great fullbody animations and features to make them unique.

The Isle devs also have that code to use a base along with the rest of the old version as well as all their first hand experience working on the game over the last 8 years and yet the recode is still in a pitiful state. Unique? The PoT team has every intention of making all their dinosaurs feel unique and fill their own niche and they've done a pretty good job so far. Not only that but there's also a lot of potential variety even within the same species. You could line up 3 rexes and one might be a speed build, another a damage build and the last a tanky build. In the Isle you don't have that customisation. They are different experiences for sure and neither are perfect but the difference in development rate is like night and day. The PoT team clearly cares about their game and is actually making good progress whereas the Isle devs are just plodding along doing the bare minimum amount of effort.

Hey IGP. Look for Mesozoic Era sever next time you play. If you play. 1) They have passive growth. 2) If you join the twitch. And white list .You don't have to quest. One command, and it'll give you a shit load of coins so you don't have to quest. So you can get all your dinos abilities, and colors/ patterns. 3) and, most importantly. They have the Utah mod active on it.

I haven't played either of these but based on what I've seen PoT seems like the better game. Seems less toxic, has more for you to do, and generally more accurate models if you care about that part. Not that PoT is exactly the epitome of accuracy either, but it's good to see that feathered animals are consistently always feathered at least, and no broken wrists. Those are basically the 2 things I care about accuracy wise because changing that just makes a model look ugly.

Played this on mobile, not a bad game, the only thing I had to complain about or had issues with, was mentiined in this video, the fetch quests were odd for a predator type, but I figured it was just nest building stuff so did them anyways. The dino you guys played was the one I tried, it is pronounced like dee non eee chis.....a mini feathered raptor, you can get an ability that lets you jump onto the side of dinos and grapple attack them. I was also bummed about how you had to purchase coins and such, wanted to try some dinos but they are locked. The main reason the maps are empty, not many people can run the game on p.c. and the mobile players are only short lived waiting for the bus or on break types, so there is never a large amount of dinos online. They need some wilds or npc types, also a way to move your dens too.. Fun video you guys, loved the pack fights killing that rex was cool.

Hey IGP, you can go on land with the Beachcomber ability. There are some new abilities, the skydiver reduces fall damage if you go off a waterfall. Strong flippers helps you regain stamina. And barrel roll is a short range attack while lunge can help you escape other dinos and is fun. It can also help you launch yourself further on land.

My tactic for getting over large bodies of water as a Deinonychus: find the thinnest or shallowest point. Make sure your stamp is FULL. Then you need a running head start to jump as far across as you can. Then use the rest of your steam to get the rest of the way over 😄

i have played the isle before but i have never played path of titans however i have saw alot of videos about the game and tbh yeah path of titans has more dinosaurs and a bigger map, some cool mechanics like the change skin mechanic but the game doesn't feel like a survival game weird to say but path of titans may have more stuff than the isle for now, but the isle in my opionion is better just because of how real everything feels is an actual survival game and not a walk and quest simulator also the isle may have less dinos but the dinos in the isle are way better than in path of titans the model i think is better in the isle same with the abilities they are much more fun to play in the isle than in path of titans also another thing for path of titans there combat mechanic sucks like actually is basically press bite over and over and yes some dinos may have other attacks but nothing crazy while the isle has really great ways of pvp for the dinos, they also have better abilities like the deino in the isle has the ability to grab and drown other dinosaurs while in path of titans the sarco can only charge bite doing more dmg but same thing as normal bitting just takes longer and does more so if u ask me in my opinion the isle is better in mechanics but if we talk about quantity and not quality then path of titans wins in my own opinion of course.

I would say play the quetz next, but they did a big nerf on that creature. Still mad that they took away beak abilities while flying. Maybe ankys instead they can be quite tanky when it comes to crouching.

FINALLLYYYYYY! I've been waiting too see you play this! glad you did man! Edit: doing quests help your growth depending on the server, could make you grow really quick and gain more coins for more unlocks of scales, voices, attacks and skins, or have a passive growth! Maybe do a lil collab with the famous Gaming Beaver to understand since the man is quite good at said game, or watch a few videos?

There's definitely an atmosphere to the isle that nothing has beat yet, it makes for some amazing moments. I don't know if I could go back to the isle though, after getting used to PoT. It's so much more fun and less frustrating. There are so many cool environments in the map, mods are supported, updates are frequent, you can really customise your experience based on the subspecies/skills you pick, the missions may not always be the best but at least it gives you something to do. Not saying you can't enjoy the isle more or dislike PoT. The isle gave me some unforgettable moments and the atmosphere is top notch. I just personally think atm PoT is a more enjoyable experience for many reasons. Especially with isle legacy abandoned and evrima still pretty early in dev.

Okay so i played lots of The Isle, over 500 hours. And over 500 hours in PoT. And I will say. PoT is MUCH better to play, its not a hellscape of shit from the devs and other players. The Isle is still fun, but PoT is just a better expierience
