I can't say for other bands, but for The Warning the melodic "O's" I think are a way for them to use their voices as instruments.

Trust me. Paulina will never run out of lyrics! Btw, the bassist's name is Alejandra. And, no, they did not bring any fans out to the desert. That is all out there in the brutal Nuevo León wind, sand, and dust, from about 4:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. That is the length they will go to for their craft. They are true rock heroes!!

Those harmonies are put in deliberately as crowd participation bits for the live side of the house. It's smart.

I really like the drum pattern in this song it a bit different than standard rock beat and has some sweet fills. They have another song in Spanish from a couple years ago before they signed with Lava called Narcisista Pau sings lead in it, it was a response to critics that didn't like they sang so many songs in english.. Great reaction nobodies

The whoa-oa-oas are one The Warning's signatures - along with great guitar riffs, cool drum fills and more emphasis on the bass. It's like Def Leppard's harmonies. It makes them unique and instantly recognizable. I wouldn't never take that away from them.

I don't think the vocal harmonies are fillers for lack of lyrics, I think it's garnish to a completed dish. It's art. I think the lyrics are simply complete, the message has been given, and the music and harmonies sell it.

Nice! Martirio = martyrdom. This is about calling out someone who lives their life as a martyr (victim). The video was shot in the Icamole Desert north of Monterrey, Mexico. The three ladies in white and the ones in black with the torches are the girls. The other women in black are their mother, a cousin, a friend and the model that did the Mayday EP cover. They used no fans. The wind blew so hard that they finished the shoot with dust and dirt in every crevice of their bodies including their eyelashes. This song was originally previewed during their Argentina tour in 2019. It became harder when they worked it for their third album and the Mayday EP.

Yes, their second song in Spanish, and it rocks. For me, Ale's bass really came alive, Pau always has some unique drum fills, and Dany's voice just seems to melt into the song itself, It's just another awesome song by these amazing songwriters/musicians. The future of rock looks very good from where I stand.

Pau is nowhere near the most technical drummer in rock (check out Akane from Band-Maid), but she's like Ringo who provided every one of their several hundred songs with just the right drum part, each one unique.

Martirio/Martyrdom Lyrics translation Sometimes the obvious things are the hardest to see you suffocated with your bare hands. When everything points to someone finally coming to rescue you, you find yourself abandoned again. In your martyrdom drown It is your destiny, surrender. You try to find an explanation deep in your being and you fall back into the void. At last you secretly realize that the pain will stay it will be your new life of martyrdom. There is no turning back, you can not escape from the fire at your feet and in the dark you'll get lost. In your martyrdom drown It is your destiny, surrender. Sometimes the obvious things are the hardest to see ... In your martyrdom drown It is your destiny, surrender. Learn from those who suffered, if you have to live in fear it is better to die in the hands of a goodbye. Your sad life, fool martyr, say goodbye.

Actually, no fans, other than their cousins (ha, ha) were used. That was all desert wind that unexpectedly blew the fabric apart on the tent frame. The other song they have done in Spanish is "Narcissista". Narcisista - THE WARNING - En Vivo en Foro DiDi Monterrey 1,245,709 viewsJun 23, 2019 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 This is live in their hometown of Monterrey, MX. This song they wrote in response to those who accused them of being cultural sellouts for doing all the songs in English and to those bands who would turn their backs on them when they walked off stage, because they were female musicians playing rock music. This is the premiere of the song in public.

Great reaction guys! Their harmonizations are part of their “style”. I truly doubt that they run out lyrics. I know you said it as a general situation for lots of bands but in this case they (and Paulina in most cases) are very prolific writing lyrics. They have said in some vlogs and interviews that they sometimes have moments of mental blocking but they take a brake and always come up with fresh ideas. Being a trio, those harmonies are another instrument that help filling the (if there are any) gaps and create this great wall of sound that they are so good at creating. And actually they also have said that a lot of times the idea of a song starts with a melody and the “Ooohs” and “Aaahs” and then the rest comes up as it flows. Keep rockin’ !

Great reaction NOBODIES! No large fans were used. I believe this was filmed in the desert 1 hour North of Monterrey, Mexico that is windy a lot of the time. I also think their "ooohs and aaahs" are strategically placed in their songs for at least 2 reasons: to add emotional feeling to the message they are conveying and to give the listener a chance to digest the content of the lyrics. Martirio English translation Martyrdom = Pain * Torment * Suffering * Even though the Spanish word martirio literally translates to martyrdom in English, the English word martyrdom has a different meaning than the Spanish word martirio. The Spanish word martirio just means pain, torment, and suffering. It is not associated with 'suffering for a noble cause' the way it is in the English language. Lyrics- Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see You choked with your own hands When everything points that finally someone will rescue you You find yourself abandoned again Drown yourself in your martyrdom It's your destiny, give in You try to find an explanation in the deepest of your being And you fall into the void again At last you realize in secret that the pain will stay Will be your new life of martyrdom There's no turning back, you can't escape from the fire at your feet And in the darkness, you'll get lost Drown yourself in your martyrdom It's your destiny, give in (guitar solo) Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see (walk down bass line) Drown yourself in your martyrdom It's your destiny, give in Learn from the ones who suffered If you have to live in fear, it's best to die at the hands of a goodbye To your sad life, foolish martyr, say goodbye Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Whoa Ah (guitar solo) Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Thanks guys! I highly recommend going to see The Warning on their upcoming North American Tour that starts middle of January next month at a city near you. 🗣You will be glad you did. 🤘🤠💯

During my childhood, fortunately, I was surrounded by good musical vibes, rock came early in my life and obviously I did not understand the lyrics because they were in a different language than mine. Fun fact (you would not be surprised) the setting of the video was in the middle of nowhere: the Icamole desert an hours drive west of Monterrey, near Mina, Nuevo León, Mexico. The wind was actually blowing that hard, harder than they anticipated for the vid. So hard that the wind blew apart that fabric tent they mounted for the vid, so they went ahead and filmed it with the fragments blowing aloft.
