It must be really frustrating when you call the horses and they don't come right away; but I just love to watch them galloping as a herd through the pasture. I especially enjoy seeing some of the ladies "kicking up their heels". These are, indeed, happy horses. 😁 👁❤Friesian🐎🐎🐎!

It has been that way since Lianne was tiny, she was curious & wanted to be with people right from the start but she really chose Yvonne as her special/favorite person, she’s a favorite for many of us; she’s my #1 yearling I fell in love with her the 1st time I saw her when she was 3 days old & she’s had my heart ever since!😍 Lianne is very precious a sweetheart just like her mama Saly my 2nd favorite mare.🥰🐴

Barbara Glandon It’s pretty easy to fall in love with her that’s for sure! Then again, ALL the horses are wonderful but there’s always a few who grab your heart the most & Saly is one of those; because of her amazing personality it’s easy to see why her daughters are so sweet, Marije became my first favorite from the foals this year for the exact reason her big sister has & being extra cute when you’re caught being a little naughty made me love her even more lol. 🥰🐴My most favorite before lovely Saly is Her Majesty Queen Uniek👑of course she is royalty & knows it lol😄

I was rewatching this one as the peace in it is sorely needed during this election cycle and I saw your response and I hope that your recovery has been rapid! There are wonder drugs and therapies but every stroke recovery is its own pathway, and sometimes the path has a lot of uphill grades. hopefully you are now coasting down the hill towards your goal. god bless! ❤️

I am so happy to see that the injury that Klaske received when she was a younger filly has healed so well that it does not interfere with her movements now as she is getting older. To see her and the others trot and then gallop across the field, kicking up their heels in joy, was something beautiful to see. Now when the 2 year olds turn 3, do you go by their natural date of birth for training to start, or another date? Thank you for your time and consideration to answering my question. No matter how often I watch these horses I find them just stunning! They are like majesty in motion, and yet when they come up to you for a pet, they are like little children! I have truly fallen in love with each of them!

I met a two-year-old Friesian a few weeks back and I was quite surprised how very sociable and "over" friendly she was. Her name is Gerda. She is as big as these two-year-olds. The trainer told me that she has had to teach Gerda to stand back and allow people space. They are such inquisitive horses and they do love people. I was quite astounded how big she was as a two-year-old -- as big as the older horses that are not Friesians. I was astounded how afraid I was standing next to her and of course, you know you have to be so aware of those back legs -- as with any horse you don't know personally. They are such friendly horses. I can imagine how Yvonne must feel with these giants standing around her.

Lianne always comes close also, but it seems as if Gea wants to "be on" Yvonne's neck every visit. Is that because she is just so friendly? Or is she being aggressive?

Gail With Gea it’s not so much that she’s being aggressive to hurt, if it were that way the body language would’ve been different. She’s in charge of the other horses both 2 year olds & the yearlings, she’s dominant over them; she also seems to think the same when Yvonne comes over & she tries to push her around too but Yvonne basically lets her know that it’s not ok & she can’t do the same with her or anyone else. If you notice too, when Gea came around a second time, Jacobien walked over & positioned herself so that Gea wasn’t directly in Yvonne’s space: She told her “hey, stop Gea leave Yvonne alone, step away a bit” I’m proud of her for that, it’s just what her mom Elsje would’ve done, she was the dominant adult mare before she was sold. I think her girl will be in charge someday as well.🥰♥️🐴

I look at them running about happily and it reminds me of my childhood! There were eight of us children and life was chaotic and fun. I still do not know how my mother put up with us - running here and there, picking at each other and looking for attention. Exactly like these young horses!

Im wondering, if there was an emergency, you don't want to be spending time trying to figure out which horse needs help. Maybe a small name tag braided into their mane? Or if that isn't horse safe, just colored threads. With each horse getting it's own pattern/color. Easier to remember than which horse has a cheek hair swirl! (like how identical puppy's in a litter, each get their own colored collar.)

If I read the inspections regulations (You can find them on the kfps.nl Page, also in english) correctly, then it should be no problem. Because a marking over the eye line is allowed, when it is not larger, than 3 centimeters in diameter. By the way: Yvonne, I wish you good luck for the inspection next week!👍🐴

In this episode, we hear the anxious godwits, of course, but also the familiar footfalls of you and the horses, vehicles passing by, humans cakes from nearby, the beep of a machine backing up, a single crow.
