@@babyvideos5583 dont know if this is a joke or not but if it isn't than the ate 8 thing is an actual creepy story about 8 hikers who get lost at sea (I think or a mountain cant remember which) and when their found one of the members (8th) is missing and another one is "insane" and keeps repeating ate eight....ate eight...etc and since the words sound similar people thought he was saying 8888 for the 8th member, some rumours say that the "insane" member ate the 8th member, others think everyone else but the "insane" member ate the 8th member and the "insane" member was traumatized by it, and some people think he's just saying 8888 or ate,ate,ate,ate and is "insane" It sounds much better and creepier if you watch a video about it

Ooooh ive heard of darren's case before, basically a bunch of hikers went hiking and got stranded, they were later found, but one person was missing. All the hikers said it was a bear attack, except for one person who wouldnt stop saying ate/8- (the hikers basically killed the missing person and ate him)

The one which is traumized from hiking is actually a cannibal story. So, there were 7 friends who went hiking and only 6 came back alive and one died and another got traumized. The police asked all the survivors questions and all of them had the same answer, except one. He kept saying 8,8,8. He was taken to a mental hospital. Darren only says 8(ate) cause there's this story were there were hikers on a snowy mountain, an avalanche happened and they were trapped for 7 or so days, when they were rescued, one hiker was missing, all the hikers said something about he didn't survive(I think) but then there's the hiker (in this video, Darren) saying 8 over and over again. (They ate the hiker(and sorry if anything was spelled wrong)

At the time cause of why 7 went insane was unknown. They asked the other 6 people where 8 was and they all gave the same answer he went to get help and didn't come back they asked 7 in the mental hospital and he banged his head against the wall and said 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 all over agian until they realized ate sounds like the number 8.
