I walked away, relieved. Lighter, thankful for the end of their cycle of abuse. Christmas is now peaceful. I only cook for my dogs and I now. Nobody shows up with 8 friends, does nothing to help or contribute, and packs up ALL, EVERY CRUMB of my leftovers, in my expensive Tupperware and ceramic dishes - leaving me not 1 bire of the $280 of food I bought, spent 3 days cooking, counting on having meals the following week. And leave ALL THE MESS for me to clean up, washing all the dishes, cleaning the oven, cook top, fridge, floors, laundry, broken ornaments including my christopher radkos. No rush, rush, rush to decorate, buy expensive gifts, only to return home with trash they didn't want. One year one daughter gave back the bracelet I gave her AFTER SHE BROKE IT 💔 The other daughter gave me an unfinished , literally half wrapped wreath that said F _ _ _ Off. One son gave me NOTHING and the other gave me a pair of men's sunglasses that were way too wide for my head. They all happily walked away with $5,000 worth of stuff I carefully selected all year for them, their spouses, 4 grandson's. All because the grandsons said , I give the best gifts. I ACTUALLY CAUGHT my one daughter taking the gifts I bought her boys , back to the store and used the money to buy herself hair extensions, clothes, shoes, jewelry. Who needs THAT?! NOT ME!!!!!
