I don't go into the wildy so it doesn't matter much but I am just a little curious , pkrs always cry about the wildy being dead but running around and absolutely shitting on any and everyone including newb pkrs is gonna make them hate the wildy because there's no one around that they stand a chance against, I totally understand that this is how the wildy works and its a part of the game but wouldn't you want more people to learn how to pk to bring it back to life before ruining their experience? It's counterproductive if that's the case

very few pvmers decide to learn to pk and osrs has no new people joining just the same old playerbase. The reason the pk community is dead is because the multi revs was taken away killing the ecosystem. The update meant less gp/ph farming revs so the gold farmers went elsewhere, also the venezualians went elsewhere. Less gold farmers means less pkers. If removing revs wasn't enough they changed the combat system so now it's almost impossible to pk as a team unless you lure someone into multi like we just saw here. I think a new version of multi revs is coming so it'll bring back the old players again.

Well this is why PVM in the wilderness actually works. If the only thing to pk is high level pkers new pkers will never venture out cause they stand no chance. Me and many others learned pk fundamentals from fighting pvmers and people hunting the pvmers, which also allowed us to retain decent gp/hr to pay for deaths/supply. The reason for the death of the wilderness is the lack of risk/reward content. The only thing they’ve really done in the past several years is update existing content slightly, or nerf or even completely remove content like emblems from wilderness slayer and bounty hunter.
