In the heart of a zoo, a puppy named Kago faced an uncertain fate when thrown into the cheetah's domain. What unfolded next defied expectations and captured the essence of an extraordinary bond. As Kago and the cheetah locked eyes, their meeting held the promise of an unexpected journey. Amidst the tension and anticipation, something remarkable began to unfold, revealing the power of friendship and resilience. What happened next in their encounter would leave even the bravest souls on the edge of their seats, as the tale of courage, companionship, and the triumph of the unlikely unfolded before their eyes.

Cats are cats no matter how big or small they are and all cats will love you if you love them and show them affection. This is what I’ve learned from having cats and from watching videos of lions, cheetahs, tigers, leopards, bobcats and every other cat in this world. But, like everything else, including humans, they all have different personalities and experiences, which shape their minds in distinctive ways. So, before you reach out to any wild animal, try to get to know it better. You might be putting yourself in harm’s way, especially, if it’s hungry and you don’t have anything to offer it.
@EmilyCheetham
@EmilyCheetham 2 ай бұрын
@@shushannahrodgers6040 yes and no. Yes cats are cats. However some breeds of wild cat are more likely to stay wild than others. Or atleast have wild tendencies once they go through puberty. For instance zoo’s can let visitors into the cage with a lion or tiger cub but NOT with an adult. Because the hunting instinct kicks in and they will see a human they do not know as pray. Even ones they do know if they don’t act in charge could end up being a big cats dinner. However some places in some countries will let adults in with cheetahs and some of the smaller species like the African water cat & serval cats & one or two others if they have been hand reared. As theses cats are more sprinters than pack hunters and aren’t as powerful (in a sense of muscularity). We even cross breed servile cats with do,estimated cats and then people keep them as pets in even in uk. So certain species of big cat can be more dangerous as adult than others. A cheetah isn’t really going to attack a human unless it’s really hungry, but a lion might if you wonder into it’s territory.

Zoos have used goldens and labs as companions to cheetahs for years. I've seen documentaries on it. Having a calm, non-aggressive dog as a companion helps the cheetah stay calm and learn to socialize. The doggo usually becomes the alpha and the guiding member of the duo.

@janedoe7548 Other than the continual verbage and stating such obvious things! I hate it when they string it out as long as possible for greater mileage. They do a similar thing with news feeds with similar click baits. You scroll each page. Cick 'next'. You keep pressing the 'next' button about twelve times to find out what's going on. When you do, you've found you've wasted your time with something that could've been written on one or two pages! So, now, if I start getting the same set-up, I just don't bother. Same here. Definitely not subscribing. I think they do it for the advertising space. In this instance, if you don't mind being told a story in this long winded fashion with a toneless AI voice, fair enough. Enjoy! We are all different.

I had a female Boerboel that delivered 11 pups. Within two weeks it was obvious that mama couldn’t feed them all. I remembered that an American nurse at a hospital here in Ghana told us that when they had mothers who were not lactating were given dried and ground Morina tree leaves and within four days the mothers were able to produce enough milk for the babies. So, I started sprinkling two teaspoons of Moringa powder on her feed and she had an almost miraculous change. Within days her udders were full and nearly touching the ground. After feedings she still had a reserve. The pups grew so fast that the mother started the weaning process at four weeks and had completely weaned them by six weeks rather than eight weeks that was common.

Humans could certainly learn alot from animals. Here we have two different species totally accepting and loving each other yet some humans cannot accept a foreign person let alone love them. All animals show acceptance, compassion, caring and love to other animals not only to their own species but others as well. Sometimes there are confrontations but its usually easy to identify why quite often it is fear based or can be because of food, mates and young or territory. The vast majority will only attack or fight if it is the only option left to them. Wild animals have a bit more conflict in their lives because of their hightened survival instincts. Domesticated animals will tolerate tremendous suffering without retaliating even if it kills them. Yes humans have a lot to learn from animals. Humans also have a huge responsibility of protection towards both domestic and wild animals and this is not something we should take lightly.

I was a little apprehensive watching this video, and even a little more concerned, when I understood that this was going to be an experiment that may have not turned out positive......I realize that the beautiful Lab was heading towards euthanasia, & the cheetah was not doing well, per his predicament, so some may think, what would the loss be, as both were probably headed towards death, but having a needle putting this beautiful dog to sleep, is far more kinder, that having him ripped apart by a wild animal.......I have to believe that the zoo staff, know what they are doing and paid close attention to all encounters, & that the friendship continued, at least until both were on their way to a healthy life.

The title of this video is stupid beyond rational thought. The puppy was “thrown” to a ferocious Cheetah of only a few weeks old, smaller than the puppy! That cheetahs and humans and dogs get along well when raised together is ignored! The two needed friends! Cheetahs are not razor clawed Tigers they are runners. The kitten wasn’t being starved for gladiatorial games, but carefully fed by hand, cuddled and loved by human staff who worked to supply the two animals with a friend so they will live their best long lives!

Yes it is sad that the puppy was on the euthanasia list but it got a friend. Dogs just need friendship be it with another animal or a human. Cheetahs if hand raised as this cheetah was also can be domesticated and enjoy other animal or human company. Iv seen several documentaries of people owning cheetahs and often they also have a dog who is the cheetahs companion. So this pairing is nothing new. It was also good for the dog and sadly no human wanted the dog. So not both dog and cheetah have a loving life long relationship.

The title is click bait ! It should be changed to represent the true video. It’s a good video and don’t need the extra stuff

What kind of country allows a puppy to used an experiment? surely there was a better way.

This isn’t an experiment or atleast nothing original. Dogs have been paired with cheetah many times. Iv heard many stories of cheetahs and dogs as companions. In some countries you can keep a cheetah as a pet and in many cases the family also own a dog. As long as they are both interdicted to each tooth as pups then they get on very well together. It even says in the video that other zoos had paired the 2 animals together before. Cheetahs are very friendly animals especially if hand reared.

Thanks for sharing and appreciate that I know that behavior is true if animal is not urged to mix but allowed to share swiftly not abruptly…

Cheetahs and dogs have worked together for thousands of years under human supervision. This is nothing new.

You know, when he said the staff doesn't want to risk turning a wild cat into a domestic pet or else it will rely too much on the caretakers, that reminds me of an orca named Keiko. As Keiko was being captive since at young age, when he became 20+, the caretakers released him back to his family but after being released he didn't find his family. Instead, he gets with other pods but whenever he's near humans, he gets more lively and heads towards humans like he's more comfortable around humans more than his own species. He constantly needing human's love and care, and being captive in a human environment for so long, it made the orca became very dependent on humans. So I hope, it wouldn't be like that for this wild cat. It needs to keep its wild instinct for its nature.

So, now let me guess, the staff clipped the cheetah's wings, so now he's a domesticated creature.
