You made my day - so fun to watch. I’m so glad you saved those from the trash! My daughter loved her Cabbage Patch doll, ‘dolly Kate’. Once we left her in a highway rest stop restaurant and had to drive back to get her, - luckily, she was still there at our booth - my daughter would have been traumatized otherwise!

80s baby right here🌈❗️My mom worked at Kmart across 4 states and got to choose and save a CPK for me before they let in the customers and they went WILD! It made the papers with customers getting in fights over them! Anyway, from the day I practically came home from the hospital to current my CPK Katie has always been close by and ages NB-6 every cross country trip to see relatives via van SHE HAD to be by my side! I even keep her in her wooden Coleco CPK cradle🥰along with all her other CPK things!

Great trash picking. You can put the plush in the dryer on air dry with dryer balls to help fluff them up. The bench that the bags were on was really nice.

I've always washed the plushes in the washer. I put them in a pillow case , they come out beautifully. The dryer too

What a fun score you got! This was amazing. Such great memories. Loved seeing the cabbage patch dolls. I worked at Montgomery Ward during the Cabbage Patch madness. Fun and crazy times! They would be lined up outside the building when they heard we had some. We kept them in a locked room lol. The bald boy reminded me of Oliver, the one I had. The pound puppies! I remember my son had some of those, wish we would of kept them! Awesome video!

Janice I worked at Playhouse Toys in a big Mall in Houston during the Cabbage Patch madness as well our store only got 16 dolls the first go round and our manager said employees get two each and we had a few customers he called and that was it! he wasn’t going to have any nonsense happen in his store!

i never understood the cabbage patch craze…thankfully my daughter was born as the craze died down….always thought they were ugly….all the toy crazes are pure consumer indoctrination and shows how easily we are swayed ….bizarre human behaviour!

You just found the entire contents of a FAO Schwartz plush department! I believe Spuds was kind of a mascot for the college age drinking bunch, but many got appropriated by kids. Terrific finds! Smart stop. Hope you went back for the other bags. It just takes one item to make everything worthwhile. Of course, you've already made your trip worthwhile and then some. You should set up a flea market or Etsy adoption unit for all those plushes. Oh, and washable on those stuffed animals usually means spot-washing by hand, I believe. Wouldn't want to toss Teddy in the spin cycle!😎

The Brown Bear - that is the one I had, just a size smaller - that was Brownie. And the Pound Puppies, yes! i had that with the carry case, about 5 of them (small ones) and about 3 Big ones, and the Strawberry shortcake accessories, perfume and all! That was a nice video seeing all those stuffed animals.

Renee, I so enjoy your reactions to the items as you were picking them up. The phase " might as well" was being said by me as you wonder if you should take the bag or not. I think my first "Cabbage Patch" was a home-made one by my aunt. They must have sold kits to make them. I don't recall what CPK was my first one, but I accumulated quite a few!
