what i like is how seemingly simple some of these solutions some of these were despite the overwhelming doubt. furthermore some aspects were creative or utilized the defenses that were already there that weren’t reaching full potential

Tbf, if you wait for a week or longer (or maybe never) for people to replicate your run and find a solution, you better off reset and try again. Most if not all of the runs we saw was salvagable because they didn't have good enough knowledge of the game (ability usage, targeting, good tower rather than mid game tower that lead to nothing) and some of it you can learn by play more. It is more fun to figure out on your own than other people holding your hand and guide you.

@@ThiagoGlady I didn't say they learn nothing, what I mean was if they put their run on reddit it mean they really like the game and they are willing to learn and play more, so why not try a few more run with different tower and strategy, they will likely get it. Of course there is no harm in other people help or guides on youtube and such, but the original comment was about people said reset even tho some solution is simple, and I just think that not everyone is like ISAB and replicate their run to a tea, and have a lot of knowledge of the game, so they told them reset was understandable

@@ThiagoGlady My bad, I think my word does not come out the way I wanted. I completely agree with you, trying out another map is a way to learn the game. I did not say "no reason not to reset", I think you missed my point. My point was to explained why some people said just reset even tho the solution is easy, and my explanation is because maybe they don't really have time or don't bother replicate it. So then I suggest if they want to beat the map they can try again with different tactics and tower, or as you suggest, play other map to learn the game more.

I think above beating elite bosses, expert challenges, etc... THIS series is the most impressive display of isab's genius in this game. Where most people would see an obvious dead end and simply restart, he goes ahead and demonstrates that not only is it winnable, he makes it look SIMPLE Absolutely beautiful stuff

I think it'd be cool to extend this beyond "save the chimps run." I think it'd be a really cool way to revitalize challenges by giving a set of towers pre-placed and seeing if you can figure out how to fix the run. Sort of like the old lose-to-win challenges that specified "place x before you begin."

These kinds of video reminds me of an Octordle (8 Wordle games at the same time) alternative called "rescue", in which 4 attempts (out of 13) are random words and you have to salvage the game, just like ISAB is trying to do here. It's a very cool idea!

I think one issue with these salvage runs is we don’t know what the player who requires it to be saved has unlocked, it’s possible that they simply don’t have the towers to beat the situation.

Salvaging runs is like just a longer form challenge with preplaced towers, It'd be interesting to see what the bleakest looking run you could make that's still clearable is as like a puzzle of sorts

It's funny that I actually had a dead end run not too long ago on Haunted. Round 98 if you could believe it. I had to start that one over but I made better choices. If only I waited till this video, then I could have submitted my run to be salvaged. Although, that round 98 dead end was not salvageable. I even went out of my way to macro abilities and mortar targeting. I was able to come close, down to the last ceramic but after 40 minutes on that round I saw my flaws and decided it was better to abandon it.

This would genuinely be an interesting mechanic to add to the game. If you think your chimps run is dead you can submit it to a list and abandon your run. Any player can access this list to see if they can somehow fix the run

I don't think telling the redditors they can't salvage their run is wrong. Isab is an elite player. 99.9% of people couldn't salvage the run, and someone who picks Ben for chimps definitely can't.

They probably do because they don't try to replicate the runs like ISAB do (which is understandable, since why bother?) and is mostly guessing which towers would help, not knowing how close/far it is to get through the round.
