They didn't patch it on purpose. It was just a consequence of their QOL change with half wall snapping for jump ups. It's cool you were able to figure out how to bring it back!

This bunker shown here you can upgrade to metal or HQ as well but it wastes that material whenever you open and close it. Not sure what you're trying to argue. They are the same but built different and one uses more mats than the other.

Just a note, the section of honeycomb that has two triangles that won't place together so you then build around it, you don't need to do that: If you build a triangle on the right hand side of the two sockets, then build another three triangles off that triangle so you have like a backwards C shape coming away from the base, then build a square off the side furthest from the base (parallel to the base wall) and then build out with the 11 triangles, back with squares, and then redo the backwards C when you get to that point, you should now be able to place that right hand triangle foundation off your build back, and then the left hand foundation honeycomb triangle as normal.

I use this design for quite a while now, but changed it a little bit as you don't need the offset to create a bunker. With the 2 squares on the outside, you can build raised triangles around it, pop a half wall on it with a floor on top and you can then just create 2 triangle roof on ground level as your bunker. This has some benefits as in: - 1 of the roof triangles can stay thatch, removing the need to upgrade it every time you break it - also not needing the offset helps you build almost everywhere - You have an extra layer of defense with half-wall floor above you.

So as I've learnt from experience using this base, having the entire core as hqm, may be a little pricey on upkeep, especially as a solo, but thanks to the included small oil refinery, if you build close to a HQM quarry, you can wall that in if you want, and just farm the shit out of it to get days and days of upkeep. Really just makes the already extremely low upkeep on the base look even lower when you do that.

For the foundations External linking (11 out), look at the stones on the stick foundations in the corners and you can tell if it right. Usually it's the stones on the left side for the bunkers I make. Hope that is understanding

Protip: if you can, while placing boxes, flip the wall so the hard side is facing inwards. This gives you a tiny bit of extra space to get your 4 box placement right. You can flip the walls back once the boxes are placed

Bunker is outdated. Tested on intoxicated EU sandbox. build it 3 times (the same as the video). But the triangle roof wont connect.

it shouldn't. it's only an issue of if something occupies the socket between. I would def make sure your bunker is still open before upgrading it tho. That said, walls, half walls, windows, door frames etc WILL break it in that socket

strangely enough, it worked on a build server and it does work on first try on a normal server, but after destroying the wood frame and closing the bunker, while I can place another frame, I can only place a roof triangle on the foundation, not the frame above it. Any ideas why?

never mind, it's finicky. destroyed wood frame again, placed, tried to place triangle roof and it's like the smallest little sliver that will allow me to place it on the frame, but still works.

Very new to the game. Been watching your videos and subscribed, and also able to learn a lot. Please explain tho, how and what purpose building out serves. I’ve seen in multiple videos that you, “build 10 out” but then destroy it all. Why? What does it do and why is it worth wasting time and resources. Does it allow you to build in angles you wouldn’t otherwise? Just confused to see this so often, but never explained the actual mechanics of the game.

yes it has somthing to do with getting the right angles, and also allows to build certain angels and foundations that may not be connected to the original build.

Ah I apologize and good point, I should take the time to explain it! In this case it causes the block to not actually end up in the same place as the original, Even though the steps would lead you to believe it is. In fact it's about 1 pixel different from where it started. In this build we're using 2 'pixel gaps' one with the square and 1 with the triangle. These in this exact combination create the perfect storm to go around the fix the devs applied to remove this bunker. There are a few types of pixel gaps but as they all create slightly different gaps you sometimes need specific methods

To each his own. This base has zero defense against an online-raid and a bunker only helps against raids that go through doors. It's a cool bunker, but I don't rely on it for even a solo base.

I just tried it and it works! ... First u need have open bunker, do pipes from bunker to outside, thn break the twig frame and seal bunker and pipe is working ... but when u unseal the bunker, pipe will break so you will need to do the work with pipe again ... but still this is pretty OP and will be fixed (because it shouldnt work) when it becomes well known so next or the next after this next update I think ...

@@Smile_Inside_Facts the nice thing is if you put the conveyors behind the bunker it should be a quick fix and if you set your conveyer to only send out 10 sulfur and wood at a time, then you shouldn't lose much in a raid.

One more question Reks, is pipes for industrial could pass walls? I mean they were at some point and then were fixed. I was playing around with bunkers and roofs to pass tubes somehow and noticed that you can actually place roof over tubes. and with correct placement of combiner\splitter you can connect pipes from outside. however they aren't protected from damage however aren't visible from outside. Is it common knowledge? I haven't seen that on youtube

Just built this on console for the 3rd time and i believe we can no longer build it..when finishing the bunker the full wall on the left becomes diagonal half wall when placing triangle roof

I dont really recommend it. 2x1 are not really good to expand, i would rather build a hexcore triangle godbunker. Trapping people inside is not good! They have access to your loot/boom and can easily transfer it out of your base by f1 killing next to wall and looting their body from the outside. Building this bunker by using 2 offsets is not any easier than just building a godbunker from gamelightz yt.

god bunkers and other offset bunkers are subject to random reseting from server restarts. This can cause the pieces to snap to the wrong socket and permanently lock the bunker! Tho I do like them, it's just dangerous to leave closed overnight

It's doesn't work! (For me at least.) I have built it 5 different times, very accurate. So for the first time after fresh build THE BUNKER ACTS LIKE NORMAL: I CAN PLACE 2 ROOFS. But. After I break the square frame second roof disappear (as expected), but when i place square frame again I CAN'T PLACE 2nd ROOF AGAIN. Pls tell me if they fixed it, or it's something wrong with me or servers I play. 😃

Worked like a charm until I closed it off too test it a second time and the triangle roof upgraded didn’t open the bunker back up(fixed it, accidentally put a twig piece on the roof so had to kill myself go destroy it and it worked again.

Glad you were able to fix it! If you ever accidently fill twig above and arn't in a hurry to open, you can just remove all wood from tc and itll eventually break the twig
