o0ver But wouldn't you say that a God that gave life and existence to mankind also has the right to take mankind out of existence? Especially if mankind is no longer innocent? In this case, God takes the life of almost everyone because they had become corrupt: "Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth" (Gen 6:11-12).

of course not. that's like (in a future scenario) we've brang all dinosaurs back to live and then would kill them again. would this be a good thing? no. we must protect life. all life.

VERY GOOD!! For such a film, it's in a class of its own! Two Thumbs Up and a Five Star Rating!! If you could expand this into a movie, it might just end up being a hit! I am not able to feel fear as others do. I haven't had a nightmare in well over twenty years. It's extremely rare that I find a horror movie/film, or even a short - such as this - that is capable of holding my attention! I'm a tough crowd. I'm well aware of it, and pretty much regretful for it. Pain ends up as pleasure for me and fear leaves me bored. Intimidation does nothing more than piss me off. But this movie has the makings of a box office smash! Move over Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver!

This was quite good! The speech was epic & really helped set the scenes. I do wish there had been more images of the demon & less of the man wandering fearfully around the house....just would have made it scarier to see the demon encroaching more gradually. But as is, its a strong tale about the power of grief....and the Evil that waits to exploit it.

Well, I'm atheist, I usually separate the reality from fiction, so it doesn't necessarily bothers me if a movie includes working christian practice. However, it got quite cliche over the years. You rarely see a movie where the evil was chased away by muslim prayers or by frickin' scientology. Almost always christianity.

I liked the meat of the film, but I thought the part with the grandmother was a bit forced. It was almost like she was making a PSA. It would have been better if the parts featuring her had more of a narrative feature to it., like maybe a remembered or overheard conversation instead of just her speaking directly into the camera. Or perhaps her lines would have been better said by an omniscient narrator or by the dad in retrospect.
@Steven_Splorch
@Steven_Splorch 9 жыл бұрын
+marylikesbagels Well, it kind of is a PSA. Blackfriars Media is a religious org. So it makes sense that their film will pound you over the head with their "Occult stuff is bad! Boogaboogaboo!" message.

I can't understand how loving your child/ whatever family member enough to sacrifice having whatever horrible thing you believe that may happen as a result of possibly getting one more chance to see them and see that they are safe in whatever place they are in, that would be an evil thing only the devil or demonic creatures would allow. I don't understand how out is that love however it is perceived, selfish or otherwise could ever be wrong or evil. That makes me wonder why, in this film as well as countless others, is it so bad that the people whose lost a loved one, seek comfort and healing through trying to contact their spirit. why would a god let someone be so badly hurt when God is the one that tells you to love in the first place, and then he is the one to take your loved one away. So why is it that I am to believe that trying to talk to them from the dead leads to endless horrors and torture by demons by God given permission. I don't think that's how things really work but good job on movie!!

riiiiiiiiggghhhtt. if god (if there is any at all) took my child from me i would just worship satan. "god" what typical christians believe is a selfish god. who basically threatens us to worship him or else we suffer if we dont. there is no god. and if there is, hes an ass for not showing us his existince. "dont worship a false idol" but yet theres hundreds of other religions on earth. so of course there us gonna be millions of ppl falsely led becous if the religion they had no choice but to grow up around

+Mitchell Guittar i think that nobody is wrong, it doesn't matter what our religion is because it's not our mistake, just to be on the safe side, believe in what every religion seems to have in common, according to me: 1) all religions believe in a higher power aka god but known by many names, 2) they agree that we all came from the same human , 3) religions agree on doing good things and avoiding bad things, religions also agree that if you do something bad you should think about what you did and analyse it, come to a conclusion that what you did was wrong=regret, then promise YOURSELF not to do it again=repentance, so you won't live regreting your actions Religion should be a matter of choice it's for the feeling that you are always accompanied by god and never abandoned or alone. It's not actually as complicated as some ppl make it seem, ppl always want to devide things even themselves they divided into protestants,catholics,... But they forgot the main things mentioned above :)

I see you wanted to get the message of the danger of meddling with stuff across, but I think the teachery tone at the end didn't really work in an otherwise good film. Maybe if you had had a character within the story say these things, maybe even the exact same lady, but in a more integrated context, then it wouldn't seem so much like one of those olde worlde stories with the moral at the end but like a proper modern tale with the same message, but in a less lecture like tone. Apart from that, the way this was shot, the sound and the acting, were better than a lot of the supposedly pro and/or 'award winning' (ahahaha!) films on youtube.
