I definitely noticed that. I started participating on the support train from the page you’re referring to then the next day all the subscribers I got were gone.😑😩 so yea, I may not be doing that anymore.

As someone who has built a decent sized channel before though, i can tell you this - KZbin doesn't care how many followers we have - it is a vanity metric. WE want to see that we have a big channel. The algorithm cares about watch time and interaction. Even with 101 subs, if people watch this video to the end and interact with it, then your video will be pushed to more people. The size matters to US because then we can sell products, get sponsors, etc. But as long as you keep making videos you subs watch, youtube will keep pushing you. You got this.

I have a separate channel with over 10k subs. I noticed when i started that one that this happened as well. I think that people want the "look" of being popular. If a person has 10k subs, but followed 11k, then it looks like follow for follow, but if a person has 10k and only follow 5 people, then it looks like the channel is just so good that everyone wants to watch it.

I feel the same way, thats been happening to me too. If you dont want to support just dont subscribe, thats how I feel. My subscribers went up and went back down lower than before they sub. Its really sad!
