It's interesting to hear horror stories set in the past, the time between now and then gives a certain added eerieness to them. I think it's the fact that there's only a certain amount of people still alive to remember them, and the time between then and now may have caused the memories of the event to become unreliable

Here’s my next creepypasta idea, it’s called the chaos claw, the protagonist, a detective, looks at a mysterious artifact, a prosthetic steel arm, but it resembles more of a claw with a jewel imbedded into its palm, resembling an eye, the curator tells him that this artifact was found in a pagan temple located in a mountain in Europe, he explains that he believes that the artifact was a tool of worship to pagans, theorized that they worshipped the pagan god zaren, as they most likely did pagan things, like chanting and whatever comes in mind, after getting back into his apartment we’re he lives with his girlfriend, he gets called by the police station to investigate a crime scene, a family just got murdered, and the curator disappeared, the deceased family turns out to be the curator’s family, and find’s the curator’s journal he reads it, he finds a theory that the pagans believed that the artifact was an object they could communicate with zaren, and in his last journal entry he learns that he is having vivid hallucinations and that he’s hearing voices in his head, and it doesn’t end when he sleeps, he has horrible nightmares. After that, the protagonist goes to continue the investigation, and he and a police officer find the curator just finished murdering a man, he did with the prosthetic arm artifact, he slashed off his arm and replaced it with the artifact, the protagonist and the officer tell him to freeze, but the curator lunges at them but gets shot down. After that, the artifact goes missing.
