These girls really work hard -- They couldn't keep the (G)-Friend name because HYBE Branded it so they changed it to their names VIVIZ - SinB and Eunha have the same name Eunbi - BI = VI and Z is for Umji whose last name reflects the "Z" - Consider, they went on Queendom 2 after only being a group for a few months and only had 1 song Bop-Bop - the show pegged them as ROOKIES = LOL how can you be a ROOKY with 8 years of experience? These girl are the hero's of the KPOP INDUSTRY, because - like many before and after - they got kicked under the bus after their contracts expired, what many fans don't know is that g-friend built their original company Source Music, from a basement operation that could barely pay their bill to one of the biggest agencies in South Korea - and for doing that they got kicked under the bus - so SinB, Eunha, and Umji banded together and formed VIVIZ as a group under BPM Entertainment - ( VIVIZ (비비지) is a three-member girl group under BPM Entertainment. The group consists of 3 former GFRIEND members: SinB, Eunha, and Umji. They debuted on February 9, 2022, with the mini album, Beam of Prism). There is information that is wrong: neither hybe nor source have registered the name GFriend (in Korean it is not even viable as it is a common word). It even appeared in the media how KIPO rejected the attempts from source music for registering GFriend even with the variant "Gfriends" lol they had their 17 attempts rejected and the reason "GFriend is a well-known brand for being the name of "Six members, so it could cause harm to them if their group name is misused." That's what the document says. The thing is that they have not tried (for now) to register the group name. That they came back as VIVIZ and not as GFriend wasn't because of that, but because VIVIZ are only three and they have their own color and charm, GFriend is when all six of them are together (their words, not mine)

its pronounced more like bi-bi-ji btw. v and b are very similar in korean just like z and ji. viviz is just the stylization for concept and international purposes. (which just means: it looks cool.) it comes from their names. eunBI (eunha), eunBI (sinb) and yewom (umJI)
