In the village of Pravdyne in the Kherson region, after the deoccupation, dug pits can still be found in various places. These were temporary graves in which locals buried villagers killed by the Russians or Ukrainian soldiers, who entered the village twice before its liberation on November 9, 2022, but still had to retreat.
One of the mass graves contained the remains of six men who worked as farm guards. The remains of the seventh man, who was shot by the Russian military in April 2022, have not yet been found. In that mass murder, a 15-year-old girl also became a victim, whose neck was apparently twisted. And in order to cover the traces of the crime, the occupiers blew up the house where everything happened.
A local collaborator, who was the girl's stepfather, led the Russians to the house and its guards.
Anatoly Sikoza, a local resident and hunter, told hromadske about this terrible war crime and the motivation of the collaborator. He also became a victim of the Russians. The same criminal pointed to him as a possible adjuster for the Ukrainian military.
