As a dental assistant I had a hard of hearing patient. It was weird having to write to communicate. She signed to her mom to translate for her. That was so cool. I learned ASL on my own and now I can communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing. I've long left the profession but have used it when I was working the deli counter and a customer was h of h . I still practice on my own. It's fun, and keeps the noggin working

1:40 'gabut' is a slang word recently introduced by most people in urban areas who have social media, so it's still better to use 'bosan' that everyone knows. 'gabut' is short for 'gaji buta' (=blind salary) a term which literary means you get paid but no work at all. In the end the term changed its meaning to be like a person who is bored because has nothing to do...

Terminology of "Gabut" comes from the words " Gaji Buta " in english that means similar to: You get salary/ will get pay (Gaji In Indonesia) but you do nothing. But that word "Gabut" is become popular in here to use when you are spending your leisure time also or when you get bored.

sure bro ? I think "gabut" it's slang words, it means "gagal booting", For example, if you want to start an activity but you are lazy to do it, it's the same as being bored..

@@yudhaitink457 your just gave me new more definition of gabut, that's make sense too. But still in general "Gabut" is in short of "Gaji Buta", it's not "Gagal Booting" If Gagal Booting so it's become Gaboot not Gabut. tp ya asik2 aja bro mau pake yg mana :)
