I almost bought a Para P13-45 in basic black. I didn't, and now they don't have them anymore. I call it the one that got away. I know you can still get a P14, but I'm not wild about 5" barrels.

I agree on the Walther P99, probably one of the best striker fired guns made in my opinion. My 5 other handgun picks to bring back: Walther P88 series HK P7 series S&W 3900/5900 series Walther P5 series Webley & Scott top-break revolvers.

The problem I had with the P99, is even the slightest rearward movement of the slide (i.e. holstering) put it into single action mode. It defeated the advantage of being a DA/SA.
@ericmckinley79853 жыл бұрын
Put your thumb on the back of the slide. Plus, that doesn't sound like proper holstering. They are sprung pretty hard that is something you shouldn't be able to do without trying. Lastly, even if it is in single, its the AS mode with a long takeup
@ultrafuel25593 жыл бұрын
@@ericmckinley7985 I know, but I'm talking 1/16 to an 1/8 of an inch movement to cock the gun. I can see that kind of movement happening in a holster. Not a safe setup compared to hammer fired DA/SA.

I always wished Kahr had made their p380 in an all stainless steel model. Like their K9 or K40 series. Not that I’m a fan of the .380, but sometimes I like high end smaller guns..

I think YM on his #2 pick is talking about the Canik TP9SA, which I thought was kind of dumb. The Canik to have if you want a P99AS is the Canik TP9v2 which is now called the TP9DA.

Sig p239 and p225 a1. Yes, they are single stacks but are all metal and very handsome. Also, the grips on these two guns are only matched by 1911's, imo. Short reset triggers. SA/DA... I could go on.

Carried a model 19 combat magnum for years ,even concealed working private investigation back in the day. 4 inch barrel. Bring that back. I concealed it well in Chicago weather. 59 series smith's work also.

In regards to the p99as, the "clone" that you were referencing isn't made anymore either. I own the new version of it and it works exactly like the p99 now. I carry it everyday for that reason. 18+1 capacity and the ability to decock it and have a d/a first trigger pull... I know you have a "dislike" of Turkish guns, but the model I have is the TP9- DA....

I have a clone of the P99AS - it's a SW99, which is a hybrid with a Walther branded lower and S&W branded slide. It has the anti-stress trigger with decocker. Another very similar type of handgun (striker fired DASA with decocker) that I like better and often carry and is still manufactured is the Canik TP9DA.

TP9V2 is the model that's identical but better.

I carry the DB9. Which is the SMALLEST single stack 9 on the market. Its a great gun that almost no one has heard of. I think u would like it bc it has a metal trigger and the finish is perfect on mine. Only change it needed was better sights.
