Oh I NEEDED this review because I wanted to use some halo interchangeably with the original OGo yarn that I love working up. But I didn’t know if it was really 5 weight bulky soo thanks for doing the samples!!!!

I’m glad I waited to buy this yarn because it’s now on sale for $5.99 at Joann’s and I received a gift card for my birthday so although I don’t need any more yarn, I treated myself to the cranberry frost color way and it’s so soft and easy to crochet! And it matches a sleeveless dress I have perfectly so I’m making a cardigan to wear over the dress. ❤

I like cake yarns but if this doesn’t tangle I don’t see an issue plus can’t beat the price point even at regular price. Beautiful colors and no other yarn has the true ombré like this. Gorgeous.

I used the Old O'Go to make a narrow and long scarf for my daughter. The yarn felt "cheap" to me.

I bought nearly all the colors of the Halo yarns. Love them! Hats, scarves, and blankets Oh My! The Latte Cake yarn is heavier. Love the gradient colors. FYI, teachers JoAnn's is giving 30% off to all teachers through August 13th!!

I just started a project with the old o'go which I bought for $2.50, clearance and the yarn is not bad. I would like to make an amigurumi teddy bear with the new o'go. I think the color changes, the fuzziness and softness would look great 👍

I like it, now its only 3.00 in Michaels clearance so i have all the colors. I made things with it. I don't see any issues with it. I got the new ogo with 40% off. So i will be collecting all tue colors.

The only thing i liked is the really slow gradient of color. Glad to know im not the inly one to notice its not a 5 bulky wieght too. And i also thought it was scratchy. Currently im useing two strands of it to make a throw. I got 4 for the blanket n another for edging but only if i need it.

So frustrated, I just tried to order some of the new OGO yarn and Joann’s told me my address was wrong and wouldn’t let me go to the part where I paid for the yarn. It kept telling me parts of my address were wrong. I give up. Maybe it’s an omen. I really like the way the colors change though. I give up!

I wonder, never having worked with an O'GO, how that shape handles the constant in and out of the project bag. It seems like it wants you in one place to stay tangle free. That's not realistic for most of us even if it's just back and forth between the couch and the craft room, lol. And then there's car rides, waiting for appointments, airports, and all those other times we crochet while we wait.

I would not pay that for that yarn if it's not on sale or on clearance I do not buy it yarn is yarn is too expensive now

yes the yarn is pretty...the way it's packaged still feels unnecessary to me...why add an extra thing you need to do before you can start crafting. How exactly is this neater than an easy pull tag...easy pull tags also have the advantage of less plastic in their packing. Granted its acrylic we're using so no brownie points there but still the extra strand of plastic when you open the skein feels more than needs to be there. Just my opinion....

Sorry, there is too much beautiful yarn to buy any yarn in a donut. Caron, if you want me to buy your yarn, hank it, skein it or cake it, period.
