@@BunniMonster “Actual word.” Britain doing something doesn’t make it the definitive version. The word comes from French and literally translates to “air” in English, a little fact that the Americans (the inventors of said airplanes) took to much quicker than the fops in England. But sure, explain how taking the long route with a foreign translation makes it “the actual word.”
@BunniMonster3 жыл бұрын
@@greasey8695 WTF are you talking about? "The word comes from French", yeah so does half the English language... The Wright Brothers (Americans) set up an aerospace company called "Wright Aeronautical", where they created aerodynamic aerial craft that they themselves called "Aeroplanes" in competition with Langley's US government backed "Great Aerodrome", the American media wrote with joy about how it's "Aerocurves" work, the brothers signed an agreement with "The Aero Club of America", merged with "The Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company", the contract they signed with the Smithsonian to display their creation calls it the "Wright Aeroplane" as did the subsequent info display next to the exhibit... The inventors themselves called it an "Aeroplane" and that is why it is the "Actual word", it was an American journalist and Webster who, clearly like yourself, held some odd anti-British sentiment, who didn't like "Aero" because of it and pushed the change to "Air" literally because they wanted to feel special. Also, don't Americans say "Faucet"? The word comes from French and translates to tap in English but sure, take the longer route with a foreign translation.

You guys might actually be surprised how easy it would be compared to what you think to survive a fall inside of an elevator. The technique technically is to get into a corner and bend your knees at a 45° angle place your arms on any handrails and just lay your hands on the top of it don't grasp just hold on the top of it and whenever you hit the ground your legs should absorb the impact along with the six to eight massive Springs that the elevator is going to hit when it hits the ground now I don't know if those are always 100%. But the fact that they exist shows that there's some truth to the technique of surviving an elevator fall. Now you may break bones when you land, but would you rather die or just break a few bones?

The reality that we've all had that moment where you do something and like Sumito said "The second that water hit your balls you knew" is too funny. Mine was when I decided to drive my car through a flood because I was scared of breaking the rules of the road by driving on the oncoming lane until I realised. A flood kinda gives you a reason to break the rules of the road, thank god my car did not drown considering it was on my windscreen. 🤣

Jumping in an elevator won't work because it won't cancel your downward momentum. It's like jumping on a plane. The plane doesn't move underneath you because you're moving forward at the same speed as the plane. Except here you're going down just as fast. Also you're in steel box and can't see the bottom of the shaft so you can't time when to jump lol
@kallemort3 жыл бұрын
This is why you need to double jump, it cancels the momentum

Elevator emergency-hatches don't open from the inside. They're for emergency-crew to get in from the outside. The last thing they want is civilians to climb around on top of a stalled-elevator. What you do in an elevator free-fall, lay flat on the ground. It disperses the force-of-impact to your torso and among a wider surface-area. Standing would disperse the impact toward your joints and turn you into a paper-crane
