the two things that 'radicalized' me, the 08 crash and the bailout, turned me against US economic theory and policy, the correct answer was to either not bail out the corporations and the banks and let capitalism (aka survival of the fittest) do what it does, if the theory is true, after the pain, new companies would rise up or two, bail them out with stipulations, any company that got a bailout now has a percentage owned by the US government (obama being the coward he is did the worse option). My second event was a surprise bill after getting a CT scan b/c my primary care physician was worried about my heartbeat, i have arrhythmia, i doubled check that the hospital and specialist doctor were in the network, but apparently, the tech (the guy that actually did the whole thing, i didn't see the specialist but one time for a checkup on the results) wasn't. 5k dollar bill at a time i couldn't afford it, the only that saved me was my family b/c this was still in the wake of the recession so jobs weren't paying well so living at home was free. Still a bill i didn't expect that if i was in any other situation could've ruined me. we are all one bad emergency, one paycheck away from the streets.
