My mother is 83 and had polio when she was a child. She had to do a lot of physiotherapy, but still today suffers from its consequences. Polio affected one of her legs, that is shorter, thinner, has poor blood circulation and bruises easily especially now in the winter. Also the foot shape was affected, making it much more susceptible to callus that reach the point of bleeding, as well as harder recovery from other problems due to the poor blood circulation. Whenever she goes to a new doctor we hear "these days we only see polio in people your age".

@@catofthecastle1681 Say What ? All Randomized Control Trials used to approve any vaccine have a Absolute Risk Reduction, which is the risk difference if you do not take a vaccine. The FDA handbook " Communicating Risks and Benefits" says it is important for consumers to know, when making medical decisions. So, please post what that is for the vaccines.

There are actually two different polio vaccines. There is no "the" polio vaccine. I'm no vaccine expert, but it is possible that one is more dangerous than the other. There's so much misinformation about RFK Jr. It makes sense; he actually wants to prioritize the health of our children over corporate profits, as he's done his whole career. He's also got some top-notch doctors working with him, such as Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.
