Well said and very true. However, I don't think Trump's problem is so much age-related. I think he's been stupid and malevolent his whole life. He is showing signs of cracking under the pressures of the moment, however, and stress can accelerate dementia. Senile dementia has a genetic correlation, and dementia took down Trump's father.

He will get the flowers that he has always deserved. And how many Gazans would still be alive because he would have faced so much more pressure and listened to his supporters and advisors and withheld arms and possibly money from Israel? Those two things alone would have altered the course of human history. The surge in right-wing leaders around the world might never have happened. The UK would have remained part of the EU. U.S. citizens and all residents would have nationalized healthcare, and minimum wage would be raised, making all wages rude with it.

Anna nailed this. The Democrats had lightning in a bottle in 2016 - Bernie a true populist and Trump a pseudo populist, when a populist agenda had captured the American electorate. And they put up Clinton, the epitome of establishment politics, and that opportunity is forever gone. It was the perfect storm that would undoubtedly lead to a Sanders presidency, two terms, avoiding 3 disastrous supreme court appointments, and accomplishing so much. But it died in 2016, and while yes we’ve had the squad etc, the progressive wing of the party has been undoubtedly weaker. I understand why - they prioritized beating Trump over pursuing their agenda zealously. And that was the mature thing to do, but I can’t help but share Anna’s disappointment.

I've been a bit of an Ana hater recently because I feel like she's embracing her inner liberal nimby and on many social issues she's been giving dishonest conservative takes way too much credit. But I agree with her on practically everything she said in this video. I agree on her takes on Bernie and on AOC ad on the Dems' role in the Gaza slaughter. Ana has always had her heart in the right place when it comes to economics and foreign policy and I commend her passion on these issues.

AOC has wisely found a way to get major stage time and a future within the Democratic Party. If she was constantly a thorn in the side for the DNC, there would be no chance she would get prime stage time during the DNC convention.
