I think it's hysterical how he transformed Shriek without any sort of warning. Just straight up removes her flesh and she doesn't seem thrilled about that shit. I get that the shrieking thing is her bit but I like to think she was considering NOT being turned into a skeleton and just as she was about to tell him about how she could use her hot body to beguile the Prince he fucking turns her into a skeleton.

Well, yeah, because it's effectively burning all of the goodness out of one's soul. That's why they're euphoric once the transformation's complete (their conscience is gone) and why so many of them desperately try to get transformed again if reverted to human (their conscience is back).
