A tip is to not import all the photos you don’t need in Lightroom and also after importing, make sure syncing is not enabled, under the cloud icon, as that can slow down the editing process. I personally import the selected photos I want from a device, edit them and only after I am done editing I turn syncing under the cloud icon “On” (usually overnight during bedtime, so it can upload and save to the cloud.

I recently switched from Mac to the new iPad. I can’t for the life of me understand why I can’t just import all to disk and when I’m culling through Lr I can delete the ones I dont want straight from my disk and then sync the ones I want to cloud and move the original RAW files to me external backup HDD as you can on mac….

For those trying to set the white and black points on an android phone it may be a little different than on a ios device. Put two fingers on the slider and move those fingers along the slider. I found it a little tricky but was able to make it work. Your fingers can be any where on the slider bar and dont need to be on the slider "knob"

great tutorial! I cant seem to do that white / black adjustment @12:46 by holding the slider with 1 finger and holding the photo with another. it just pops back to original sample.

Amazing video Zac, thanks for it!!! Quick Q ... do you know if you can apply a preset to JUST a masked area? if not do you know if that is something they are going to bring out? sometimes you just want to apply the preset settings to part of the photo

Not that I know of. You can control the amount of a preset that want to apply to your entire photo, but I don’t think it’s an option to add a preset in masking

I think that’s just how the iPhone reads RAW files. Once you get them into Lightroom you should be good 👍🏻

@@clark5894130 yes, you can edit clips in Lightroom, but your tools are very limited. With that said, one of the tools you can use is the color grading panel

It depends on your workflow and what makes the most sense to you. Some people hate log because it’s too much work to get it looking good and other love it.

@@antonypeter1517 the free version gives you access to most of the tools in the app. I’d suggest starting there and then upgrade later if you want to get full access to the other features

Hi, I just activated the premium feature of the Lightroom app for smartphones (about 2 euros/month). Can I access Lightroom desktop with this? I'm not exactly sure if it work both ways. I have the adobe subscription for the desktop version of Lightroom/Photoshop for around $20, which includes premium on mobile.

I have a problem, I'm processing a RAW photo taken from a mirrorless camera in Lightroom on the iPhone 14 Pro. When saving, I choose the JPG format, but the phone saves the JPEG format, which does not suit me. What can you do?

JPEG and JPG are the same file format. The only difference is the number of letters in the file extension. The only reason JPG exists is because the earlier versions of Windows operating systems had a maximum 3-letter limit when it came to file names.
