I think playing Surtr was the most fun I had on Smite. I loved everything about the big boy. His kit, his design, his lore and his voice acting were top notch. I stopped playing Smite about a month after Surtr came out, but every now and again I'll get the feeling to reinstall just to play him.

There is literally no matter with the meta, Surtr is literally pure fun. I play guardians and select warriors for a living and my main man is 10-11 star Ymir. I love the Frost Giant, but when I saw the damn FIRE GIANT APPEAR IN A TRAILER AS I WAS NOT PREPARED, I knew he was my main. I already have Surtr nearly 3 stars. I could not have asked for a better reveal.

I think Surtr was the most fine fun I had on Smite. I was dissapointmed about everything with the big boy, his kit is underwhealming, his design is somehow worse than his original boss design due how sterotyipical and unfitting it is(why isn't he wearning armor?), his lore and voice acting are pretty good. I stopped playing smite a couple months after Surtr came out. I get a feeling now an again after watching this video to play it again until I'm reminded about anubis's entire kit, Posiden't Ult and wirlpool, basically how many gods are just underwhealming, bullshit and kinda ok, then I get sad as bakasura isn't allowed to be a character.

Surtr is the perfect "customizable" character in Smite. You can build him auto attack, you can build him ability damage, you can build a mix, you can go full damage, you can go full defense and they are all valid. You can even max his abilities in any order you want to so it can fit your playstyle. Remember when King Arthur came out and Hi Rez was like "this is a character that fits every playstyle!" and everyone ended up building and upgrading his abilities the same? Well, it feels like Surtr is the real "this character fits every playstyle" and I lovvvve it.
