I love the little ominous touches throughout the cutscene that reinforce the idea that not all is the way it seems with Constantine. I hadn't noticed the cloven hoof before. A true modern classic.

Never noticed how the flame in the lantern makes the sign of the pagans. Great little touch and nice foreshadowing.

Indeed. The way that they manage to blend real-time camerawork with animation and illustration is absolutely astounding. I haven't seen a game compare.

I totally agree, it definitely is one of the best games in video game history. It had such an amazing immersive quality.. The world they created was phenomenal. I wish there could be another sequel.

So Constantine is the Evil Trickster. Ironic. He didn't know that the thief he is looking for is also a Trickster. Life i guess is interesting.

He is in the city, where his powers diminish. Also, shapeshifted in a well-spoken lord of manfool, which must be unbearable for him. Even to trick someone. And Garret would have been dead if he wasn't a keeper once, and some keepers did their job properly and saved him from the wines afterwards. And then hammerites and Garret did the fake eye trick. It was all against the Trickster at that point.

Irrational was created by a part of the older staff members at Looking Glass in the mid 90's, so it's no surprise, that both studios worked together on several projects throughout the years...

Well people ur not goinng to believe this but i found a way to finish lvl 9 in 5 mins lol, all u have to do is to put the a skull in the double doors of the cathdrel and then take the eye, the doors will suppose to close, but nope, they will get stuck by the skull and u can get out easily without the part with the ghost rofl.

Most of the voice acting in their games were done by member of the staff. I know about Irrational. He even worked as an audio consultant on Bioshock (no wonder they got such great sound).

This game was amazing. It has stuck wiith me feven though I havent played in many years. Remember those "father woodsie fuckers" wheew creeped me out. Anyone remember what they were called.

Victoria being a well, tree sprite of sorts has the ability to grow plants with her blood as do some of the pagan priests and priestesses. They get Garret to drink the "sap" to keep an eye on him and where he goes. Anyway you're right you should play all the series and i have to say its a bloody good series!

Why not play it now? there's no reason not to. If the visuals are an issue, you really shouldn't let the dated graphics hold you back, it's a very weak reason to miss out on one of the greatest PC games ever made. I myself only purchased the Thief series about 2 months ago and for such an old game it holds up very well and I dare say even put modern stealth games to shame.

Man these Thief 1 & 2 cutscenes make me want to play the games. They just ooze style and atmosphere and I'm a sucker for both. Terrific dialogue and voice acting, not to mention creative use of limited video capabilities of the age (and budget).

I presume Terri did a lot of voice work for Looking Glass Studios. As much as her husband did in composing music for the studio's games (but yes, he worked with Irrational as well - for example, on the music for SWAT 4)...
