In comparisson to assasination rogue this is so much stronger, the fact you can hide, sneak attack then hide again is just so ridiculous, and if you're really wanting the bonuses of the assasin, better to just multiclass to gloomstalker ranger (probably 5 levels for the extra attack since rogues don't get one but could be just 3 levels)

even though Thief has invis and 2 bonus actions I still stand by Assassin as my DPS of choice bursting down one or two goobers and leaping 30m away is a certified hood classic, minmaxing be damned

@@kaisersloth5524 start with ranger, gloomstalker subclass until level 5 or whatever level it is you get second attack on, then 5 levels into rouge taking thief subclass, make sure to take the sharp shooter feat, last two levels go into fighter to get action surge, armour doesn’t matter use what you like but make sure you get duel hand cross bows, your stats should look like 8 str 17 dex 15 con 16 wis 8 cha 8 int Make sure with your second feat you get an ability improvement to make your dex 18 and con 16 You could also buy the dexterity gloves from the githyanki cresh in act 2 but that’s up to you, the build will let you attack 7 times on your first turn and 4 times every other turn doing 24-37 dmg a shot

@@mirin707 I’m currently running rouge thief rn I’m lv 5 I was gonna respec when I hit level 6 and go 3 rouge thief and 3 gloom stalker rouge , should I just go straight gloom stalker right now ?

@@kaisersloth5524 have you gotten to act 2 yet? If not I’d wait until you hit level 8 so you get the second range attack and the thief subclass. If you have gotten to act two without spoiling anything there is a vendor halfling who will sell you a hand cross bow, you can get the second one from a boss fight in the mission gauntlet of shar, duel hand crossbows let you shoot twice in one turn, you can use that until you get to level 8, tho you should be level 8 by the time you finish act one and all the underdark quest

@@Omaha01 I wish console had the choice between the two. It's really just the access that the mouse and keyboard provide rather than scrolling through the radials. It's a great game no matter what though. I should also say that I love the information you provide in these videos. The way you show it makes much more sense to a guy who has never played anything like this before. I appreciate you sir.
