All the Monty apologists need to pull their heads in..he was 100% responsible for 2 k dead Tommies, plus Americans, Poles, everyone else and civilians...No Monty No Market Garden...Monty was a hubristic butcher..a donkey leading Lions..RIP Lions, you will never be forgotten....fantastic audiobook, my favourite

He could be careless and impatient one moment and overly cautious the next and entirely too vain and prickly.

God why are Americans so ignorant of history. Read Charles. B. McDonald for an unbiased view of Arnhem rather than this clown

4:59:21 Richard Winters was a captain in holland not a major. I’m not criticizing the person who uploaded the video just a small mistake by the author.

It confuses the copyright scanner. The book and the recording are copyrighted and shouldn’t be uploaded by an unauthorised third party. Someone making money from other peoples work. It will be taken down at some point.

I can understand how Montgomery a tested military commander must have felt having to accept Eisenhower, a General with absolutely no war time field experience, as his superior. What i don't understand considering the events taking place, how a grown man could have allowed it to effect his behavior. The world at war and jerk is pouting.
