@TP-pq9xx Okay, Which other midfield player was hardly ever pressed in their own half of the pitch because the opposition knew they wouldn't get the ball? I never saw that before or after. Rodri can be robbed. Rodri doesn't do the dibbles that Yaya could do. Anything Rodri can do prime Yaya could do better. If you are a season ticket holder you've seen the same amount of games as I have and I still go with Thierry over you. His knowledge of football and players far outranks you and others who don't appreciate just how great a player we had
@RoomAtTheTopStudio7 ай бұрын
@TP-pq9xx Yaya didn't depend on pace. Apparently he was lazy so pace doesn't make sense, unless he wasn't lazy, lol. Yaya wasn't bad under Guardiola, they had a disagreement due to his agent. It wasn't about his skills. Anyhow running about like a headless chicken but no end product wouldn't have won City the league so Milner wasn't worth anything to us really, just back up for Barry. Barry now is another topic. Strong, dependable, hardly ever got injured. Yaya and Barry, then Yaya and Fernandinho were truly great in the center of the park. I personally despise Milner. He shafted the club to leave on a free after being tapped up by Liverpool and then celebrated scoring against us. Yaya was loyal to us yet some forget and big up a player like Milner who never showed up in the big games and never won us anything. Flatter to deceive, comes to mind with him. He was just along for the ride. Barry? He deserves a lot more respect on his name.

He broke most of records in the premier league, won a fkin treble by being the highest goal scorer of the year and got robbed the highest individual prize Ballon D'or by a guy who played 5 good matches 1 year prior to that. If Messi could win the 2010 ballon d'or based on goals against Snejder who had the treble, Haaland should have won the ballon dor against messi who won the world cup (on penalties). Ballon D'or and Fifa the best and the clowns that vote have broken Haaland's motivation on keeping up, the same way they did to VVD, Lewandowski even Vinicius JR (2022 he was more crucial than any other player apart from the World Cup and Benzema yet he was nowhere near the podium in individual prizes). These 'pundits' are sleeping on the goalazos from Rodrygo and Valverde (both set up by Vinicius Jr). If Bellingham wakes up for the return fixture in England, Citeh are crusing for a bruising. Expect to see a Madrid vs Bayern semi.
@robdatta87677 ай бұрын
@@ArnabJyoti-x6f First, did you mean Rodrygo? 1. The speed at which he breaks away to get onto the sublime pass by Vinicius. 2. Once he realizes that Akanji is gaining ground on him, he slows down, taking a touch to let the ball slightly behind him. This lulls Akanji into thinking that he's about to go outside. 3. Dias who also caught up was coming inside to cover but slows down too, which Rodrygo has to see using his peripheral vision but without taking his eyes off the ball. 4. He also realizes that Ortega has come off his goal line and is shaping his body to follow Akanji to the outside. 5. He processes all of this information and decides to not cut to the outside and simply poke the ball through Akanji's legs as he's stretching to cover the outside. 6. The nutmeg has just the right amount of pace on it where it doesn't deflect too much and then just 'grazes' Ortega's leg on the way to the far post. 7. All of the above happens in milli if not micro seconds and results in a goal when most players in that situation would either cut to the outside and wait for support to arrive, or cut to the outside and drive to the by-line, or try to take multiple touches to get to the other side and bend a shot past Dias. To me, his high football IQ, speed of thought, and brilliance of execution make it a golazo!
@robdatta87677 ай бұрын
@@ArnabJyoti-x6f Valverde's is without a shadow of a doubt a golazo! The way he shapes his body, the way he swivels his hips and swings his leg in one smooth motion, and the way after he makes contact, he doesn't have a long follow-through - it was a masterclass in proper technique in hitting a volley when the ball is coming across your body. By the way, I loved the Bernardo Silva free-kick as well. He is such an intelligent player. And his awarenss and read of the situation is top notch!

They do not have a proper no 9 , very less competitive bench strength compared to City , and lots of injured players .... This madrid is commendable , with a makeshift center back they drew with the most dangerous attack in the world !! Take a bow man !! Guardiola’s football is unforgiving for players like Haaland man. The guy is fast, tall, not bad with the ball for his size, great finishing. But because guardiola’s plays requires everyone to hold their position no matter what, Haaland seems invisible even though he does a shadow work by keeping both center backs busy always. We know what he can do… just let him loose! Also it seems like haaland seems less motivated in making useless dummy runs all the time lol. I wouldn’t be surprised to see haaland leaving for a more… chaotic team like madrid to allow him to unleash his full strength. For those criticizing him… you and I know what haaland is capable of.
