Many people are are not even aware that before the World knew George Weah we Cameroonians had the oppprtunity to be graced by him. He played in Cameroon in the late 80s in Tonerre Kalara Club, and was the League's best player 2x. This is where he picked up French before moving to France

He was absolutely unreal. He possessed every single quality a world class striker needed. I was extremely fortunate to watch him live several times when South Africa hosted 1996 Afcon. Obviously he was the star player for Liberia, but they also had Joe Nagbe (Darlington Nagbe’ dad), Christopher Wreh etc. Liberia qualified for that tournament thanks in large part to his generosity. We need to have a movie of his life journey. His story is remarkable…
