When this happened to me, I couldn’t get an officer to come out and give me a police report for my insurance. I was told the police only responded to violent crimes. My insurance wouldn’t do anything without the report. It was a nightmare. Finally, Honda called Triple A to get the car off cinder blocks and tow it.

Put powerful bright lights all over the parking lot. It really helps. The lights might come through your blinds or curtains a bit but it’s worth not having your cars destroyed! It will be daylight in the middle of the night.

I'm lucky enough where crime is actually zero, so I guess I can never sell my home cause nothing else will be this safe! There is one way in and same street out of my neighborhood. 13 cops from a few different jurisdictions working different shifts so it's like fort Knox here. They come n go all day n all night. Not even a porch pirate will step foot in my neighborhood. Once to turn in my neighborhood off the main light, you are instantly greeted with 2 marked units, one motorcycle and 1 undercover as you drive in the first block and a half. If you were even thinking about doing some ratchet $#!+, You quickly realize you may not leave with your life the further you venture in.

This happened to me yesterday. I purchased a brand new Honda Accord, and I came outside and my car was sitting on concrete bricks and all four tires and rims were gone. I haven’t even had the car a month. I kept my last car 7 years until the transmission went out. I work hard for my things and to do this to someone is just plain evil!

take your car to a non local service shop to get the repairs. shops have been known to pay a theif to steal from you so you now have to give the shop business. i say do it yourself if you can or go a town or 2 over for the repairs

Now let me say wheel locks do not work. If you don't believe me Google it yourself. They have special tools that are made to take the locks off. The reason for the tool is legitimate. When car dealers buy cars from auctions or trade-ins the lock isn't always in the car so there has to be a way to get them all without destroying $1,000 rim. Even if you don't lose your lock if your tires have not been off your car for a few years the lock on the wheel is practically frozen in place and every other lug nut can come off since you can put a lot of force behind it. With the lock you cannot do that it slips and then it rounds the bolt on the rim out. So there is legit reasons for the tool unfortunately anybody is allowed to buy them. And I know this because I had to buy a set. I have a pickup truck that doesn't get driven all the time so there was never any reason to take the tires off until I finally needed a brake job. I didn't worry I knew where my lock was it was in the glove box and sure enough both sides round it off and that's when my friend and neighbor across the street who is a mechanic told me about the tool and that he would bring it to me the next day to use it. It took seconds to remove the lock I went around and had taken all of them off since it's just a false sense of security. That's just like at home when you have a screen door and you lock it you think that's going to protect you somehow. I do feel sorry for all these people. A thief is the worst person in the world. Like they were saying it's bad enough that we pay $5 a gallon for gas and that every single thing in this country has gone up and now you're out thousands of dollars unless you have good insurance.
