When you was buying your train ticket, the woman next to you who kept looking is a well known scammer.

I see you pay with your watch. She moved when she see you use your watch. Normally she waits for you to put a card in then starts a conversation trying to distract you, you take the tickets and without knowing she’d take your card. You’re more interested in the tickets and walk off. Loving your videos, keep them coming. Gutted you didn’t go to my home town of Rome x

There are lots of scammers and thieves in Barcelona. That is for sure. However the soap bubble guys are really not a part of the problem. They are according to my experience hard working guys. Sure they do this for a living and appreciate tip. Just as all streetperformers do. I am a street artist too, I am singing old classic rock songs for the most. And when we see people obviously enjoy what we do it feels good. And although we appreciate the thumbs up and the encouraging words, a coin in the basket kind of makes our day. But I have never seen or heard of these soap bubble guys being either pushy, rude or dishonest. Not like the people dressing up in costumes or like statues for picture taking. They can be nasty. Not saying that it has never happened but it is certainly not a problem here. .

When I went to Barcelona I took the tour bus, you get to see so much. I also went into the Gouda building you were outside, it was amazing. Such a beautiful place and the beach is lovely too. 👍👍

A few years ago we were camping in Spain and went to Barcelona. My daughter’s ex mother in law warned us to be careful of our bags when at the fountains display. There were also a lot of pickpockets around the cathedral. Then we were having a meal in the restaurant at the football stadium. I had my bag hanging on my chair and this man kept going past the back of my chair and I moved my bag and said to my family “I don’t like that man who keeps going round behind us” so we were all wary then and then we came out of there and some woman came up and was telling some tale, I can’t really remember the details, but she managed to con my daughters ex father in law out of some money for a taxi so although it’s a beautiful place keep your wits about you where your bags, purses etc are concerned.

I get the rashes when we are in Italy Mark, especially when I walk a lot. The pharmacist there was brilliant, they said it’s the combination of the heat and walking, some people are just prone to it 😢. They gave me cream and advised to have rest days with legs raised as often as possible, it does work. Xx

The pooping statue is called a Caganer and one of the stories about him pooping is that’s he’s fertilising the Earth for farmers. That’s one theory. I lived in Spain for 10 years and every Christmas in their nativity scenes (which are massive, they’re called Belen) a pooping statue would be somewhere, as important as the 3 wise men!

Loved that tour👍 i used to put ice lolly sticks in my bike wheel so they caught on the spokes and made a motorbike noise or so i thought as a 10yr old 😂. Did anyone ever put the old bread clips on their bike wheel spokes as well, they were usually square and they used to come in different colours. I must have had 100s, the things we did in the 80s 😂

All big cities and tourist attractions are full of scammers and pickpockets unfortunately. We wear really understated clothes, try to look like we know where we are even if we don't 😅. A good trick is to have an old battered wallet in your back pocket ,empty of course and it will get stolen but you're valuables are still safe. We watched the kids on Las rambles opening the rucksacks of tourists, whilst they watched the mime artists. Doesn't stop us loving Barcelona, we've been there many times. Just for info Antonio Gaudi built an absolutely fantastic Casa in Comillas, on the north coast of Spain, which is a fantastic place and the entry fee is reasonable, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I've got that leg rash too int he exact same spots of back of legs and sometimes on foot or ankle. I seem to have got it working in sun and dusty conditions. I get eczema, so it maybe a form of that.
