MWATomek I think the only misplay there was not inner-fiering the stolen acolyte. "Pros" have the tendency to always go for the draw first without evaluating their odds before. I see this behavior so often leading to misplays. There was literally no card in his deck he could have hoped to draw to justify this play.

I don't have a decklist myself, sorry to disappoint, however I think it's fairly simple to replace a couple of cards for almost-always-free 8/8s. Just seems like it'd fit the deck and actually put on some pressure or hurry up the win. Like the deck seems PAINFULLY slow without a couple of more legitimate threats like Arcane Giants. I don't see how you'd win, honestly. Kolento's deck also seemed pretty darn easy to deal with in general, which is why I think he won tbh. If Thijs were up against a more legit deck, like even Jade decks, I don't see ever winning, because once he gets the board, and makes a big guy, they would theoretically just get hard removed easy-peasy, and yes, they would have the removal, cause the priest deck seems so slow that of course they'd draw the removal. Or they could ignore the threat and keep going face, maybe, or cast their quest and start getting better stuff going again. Such as Rogue and it's hoard of 5/5s against a deck with no Dragon Fire potions... I dunno, it seems weak without it. I love the concept and the deck idea but it seems it's easy to just make it better than his version which seems like it'd just die to midrange and jade, be an easy game for mage, flounder against Rogue, and be on the luck of the draw for a match against aggro, as his deck *is* tooled well against aggro at least.

Medivh seems bad. It's too slow for this style. Although, outside of Memelock, I think Medivh is just a bad card in general. Arcane Giants seem staple to a deck like this. Rogue simply had better things to do when it played combo(lel). I wouldn't mind a deck like this with straight damage and spell power instead of Inner Fire shenanigans. I can see the angle Thijs was going with this but I agree, it needs more juice.

I think the idea is actually to hope for some good spells off of Lyra. Inner Fire + Divine spirit can actually be pretty crazy with Mana discounts, the combo only costs one mana with the discount.

have one minion on the board lyra and elemental in hand and start comboing! if you have two elementals that's even better! basically it's easy to dispatch taunt minions with pains and silence and find all the divine spirits -> inner fire. also it's hard to keep priest board clean because it's tend to be so juicy that only HARD removal can kill them.
