I don't think Rajini was ever cast in a movie this brilliantly. This was the best ever casting of Rajini ever. No body could have brought this much comedy to that character. How sad we lost such a brilliant and funny actor to the masala movies.

@@rajabs6185 Rajini acted well in those movies you mentioned fine. But, this one needed a funny guy with funny mannerisms to bring all the comedy to life. So, Rajini was just toooo apt for the character. The scenes where he enjoyed the soccer match, where he managed to confuse Thengai's thinking by mentioning the moustache, where he moved away when Madhavi went to hug etc were sooo funny. I have heard that the original Hindi version was more funny. But, without any disrespect, I don't think Amol Palekar would have been more apt for this character. I don't know what others think of Rajini. In my opinion, I think he is best in comedy and funny romance- Not the best in action and character roles. Veera is another movie I think he was the correct casting for the character.

Sruthy madame, not only in this movie, also Thambikku Endha Ooru, Dharmathin Thalaivan and Guru Sishyan movies, he showed his sense of humor even though that movies are masala movies, even Sivaji Sir with movies like Galatta Kalyanam, Ooty Varai Uravu, even in Sumathi En Sundari showed class in comedy scenes. Sivaji and Rajini can adapt to any role comfortably and effortlessly.

Since Chandran is always saying something related to history in the movie to fool srirama chandra murthy, He is using another statement with all his Thillu mullu words to cheat him. The writer's sentence makes perfect sense that is close to the title of the movie
