After watching about 40 other thin rip videos of different levels of complication I realized if I turned my Bow featherboard around that should work perfect. Then I searched for the same concept and found 2, you and someone else. I think your idea is genius. However how many other simpler perfectly functional wood jig/technique's are out there that we don't see. Thank you keep simplifying.

Simple yet effective end result. Decent bit of kit could really do with one, added to the never ending list. 😊

Hello my new friend. I saw that I had a lot in common. We love the same similar jobs. This is a good video. These kinds of auxiliaries allow us to do our job more accurately and reliably. I watched you curiously. It's good to take advantage of your ideas. I'm happy to be on your channel. I would like to see you on my channel. He likes woodwork as a hobby and I do it when I have time. Thank you for sharing. Warm hug. Great greetings. Yours truly...

Great tip! I’ve done this same thing with a board clamped to my miter gauge as a stop. Nice thing about the miter gauge is it slides out of the way for the actual cut.

now that was an awesome way to think outside the box. i put a featherboard in my shopping cart thanks to your brilliant idea! On a side note, have you considered work in radio? You have the perfect soothing voice to DJ. I suspect you could sell us anything or convince us to listen to anything. :-) BTW, my guess is that you are going to use ancient Japanese techniques to make shingles. Am I right or what?

Ha, thank you for those kind words 👍 You’re not the first one to ever tell me that about my voice. And for your guess, not quite. Think small, much smaller 😉

It's funny you mention the radio voice. There is a guy who does amplifier testing and reviews on KZbin to keep purchasers aware of faulty misleading advertising on car amplifier products (Big D Whiz) who sounds very similar as well...just not as much southern drawl.. But yeah I hear the same quality. 😇😎

Think you could remove the riving knife for this application? 👍

Well... I guess it’s not really needed here. I guess I’m just in the habit of leaving it on all the time. I’ll try it with out it and see how it goes 👍

@@LTDWoodworks My saw is so old that it doesn't have one, and there have been times when I wish it did. But I "think" this is a safe case for not needing one? *not a lawyer, you assume all risk :)

Hey I'm a Maker Ya, they are definitely a great and safe thing to have and use. Again, I think I normally just leave it in. Better safe than sorry type thing. And as you say “I’m no lawyer either, so assume you’re own risk as well “😉
